Would've been a totally different game had Newcastle's disallowed goal been correctly given :)

Not really cause they only got the goal cause our defense and keepr stopped playing due to the flag. If we're not playing of course they'll score.

Scummers wtf does that mean?

I'd like to think he means 'Unsavoury characters, who happen to hail from Huyton', not 'Scummers, like everyone from Huyton'.

S'port (at least in my day) always seemed to attract the dregs from the rest of Merseyside as regards to the nightlife.

Next you'll be going on about Andy Gray never saying anything positive about us, it's complete bollocks. People only look at the negative things they say when talking about us.

You're right in that he often praises Liverpool but he also comes out with some right shit and is ignorant to Rafa's philosophies and methods, despite his claims to the contrary. The unfortunate thing is many fans lap up the shite he talks and take it as fact. It's clear that little to no research goes into his analysis because if he could be bothered to check, he'd find that half of the things he says about Rafa/Liiverpool (usually thinly veiled swipes at the manager) are incorrect.

Guess so. Lol Newcastle fans ;) Resorting to booing You'll never walk alone, because their own team certainly isnt given them reason to make a noise

Only just noticed this.

You silly boy. Newcastle fans have no problems with Liverpool fans. We weren't booing you, we even gave Gerrard a standing ovation.

...we even gave Gerrard a standing ovation.

There was certainly applause (some there have said that it was due to the fact that you were making a sub at the same time), but there wasn't any standing ovations and YNWA, absolutely, positively was booed by what sounded like the majority of the crowd.

Guys, we'll never resolve this, it's not really that important.

I'm a bit concerned about this whole Gerrard assault thing, though. I hope it doesn't have too much of a deterimental effect on his performance for the rest of the season. That and whoever got lamped probably isn't going to get much work around here for a while...

Thing is, if there's been a punch-up, everyone involved will get nicked for assault. What normally then happens is the cops will say "drop it, all of you" and it'll go away. However, given that one of the people involved is so rich and famous, the other parties may want to press charges in an attempt to either get some money out of it, or to seriously inconvenience someone who plays for a team they don't like...

with the media using terms such as 'not life threatening' and 'facial injuries' over the past few days i thought that the guy took a beating, until i read about his injuries which are basically a couple of stitches on a cut on the forehead and a trip down the dentist to replace a missing tooth. Blown totally out of proportion. Also there was a group involved, do we even know that Gerrard actually hit the guy or was it one of his entourage?

Apparently there was a bit of pushing and shoving between Gerrard and the victim before the other lads steamed in. If that is the case he'll most likely be offered a plea bargain; plead to affray and ABH will be dropped. Although a lot will depend on what the other defendants do and how they plead.
