Even Sky thought that it was a penalty, it is not a difficult decision when you see it.

Yeah I think it was inevitable luck would bite us in the arse after the Arsenal match, but it is still hard to take :o.

We did everything we needed to get through that game but still lost it. Pretty much every goal we gave away over both legs were poor. I think we missed Skrtel tonight.

We kept on fighting though, and I think put in a great performance.

Well. Benitez really fucked that up.

Resting Torres and Gerrard obviously didn't work. Gerrard also got cramp near the end of the 90?!

Taking Torres of was a bit questionable, although Babs came up good again in the UCL.

The Skyrtl thing was unfortunate. Seems to have cost us with Hyypia...BUT. He should have had a pen. Also it's a pen...where Ballack was losing control of the ball, then right at the end Gerrard knocks it away from Cole only not to get the FK? Goalkick then takes 30 seconds, blah, blah.

You feel, again, Liverpool lost that by some shitness. From Riise > Hyppia > Alonso. What did Pennant do when he came on? Benayoun started to show what he could do, with 2 good runs - one leading to the first goal. Of he comes. For Pennant. To deliver to our strikers who won't get much change from Terry.

If I was Peter Crouch I'd be leaving in the summer. In fact I'd be leaving tonight.

Drogba. Very good game. Didn't dive. Scored twice. Looked dangerous. Benitez, well done for having a go. That worked didn't it? Next time concentrate on motivating your own team.

Jeez.

Overall. Liverpool 2-1 Chelsea.

We put in the best performance at Stamford Bridge that we have ever under Benitez so I dont think you can critisise him too much.

On another day a few things would have gone differently and we would have gone through I think. It was a good performance.

Good performance, results business.

I feel over the 2 legs we were the better team - until we shot ourselves in the foot with moments of being rubbish. Riise, Hyypia, you could even say Reina should have pushed the original shot that Drogba scored from wide. Or saved the follow up - better positioning.

Underpinned by a manager who was moaning before the game. A moan which seemed to inspire Drogba tonight.

I wonder what we'll here from Benitez after the match, what excuse will he find? I hope he says "We messed it up", because overall that's what happened.

We can handle defeat, we just don't like people who take pleasure in sticking the knife in in a thread that is going to be sad for tonight.

You posted the same picture in the Chelsea thread and put 'Ha!' as a caption. You are just trolling in your sad little way. Most people have either stuck to their appropriate threads or offered some form of congratulations/commiserations.
