That first one was not a penalty. You could see what was going to happen as soon as that ball went through. Gerrard's right foot moved towards Friedel who had pulled out. The second one was definitely a free kick just outside the box and Samba should have gone.

Aye. i don't think there was much demand for a penalty, but Stevie had all the reason to be pissed off at not getting the free kick

I just get the feeling Gerrard hates Lucas, twice Lucas has been through and Gerrard has ignored him.

Lucas hasn't exactly demonstrated his shooting ability today...

Good result in the end and a pretty dominant performance. We seem to be able to score much easier now than earlier in the season when that game would probably have ended 0-0.

I think we should have had a penalty from the Torres one - he was caught by Emerton's trailing foot and he was nowhere near the ball. Didnt think either of the Gerrard ones were (although I have seen the first given, but it needed to be somewhere else in the box so Gerrard could have actually got the ball if he hadnt been caught by the GK).

That ref was an absolute disgrace and should be demoted immediatedly. From Samba's flattening of Gerrard to Skrtels offence that was surely a red he got everything wrong. Shocking.

He kind of did get them wrong but he also kind of got them right, as well, you know? It was like he'd thrown the rule book out of the window and was just reffing it how he wanted.

I think he was a bit wary of giving penalty's following the mid-week action.

It was disgraceful though. Was he drunk?

We all wanted Parry out and when Hicks wants Parry out we all cry, the poor guy can't do anything right.

And Babel, he seems to be mentally very weak. I kind of fear for him. He's had some absolutely rotten games for us. I mean, he's not that young. It's not like he's 18.

More blinding dumb chat from ramone!

Hick's is only doing it because he fears that Parry is siding with Gillett and thus could jeapodise his position at the club. He is also trying to disrupt again by leaking the fact that Parry and Gillett were both present at the Klinsmann meeting (which I have to say I am still shocked and angry that took place). Its not the fact that we don't want Parry to go its the fact that Hick's is obviously a manipultive scum bag who is no good for Liverpool football club

Also, what the hell are you on about with Babel? He's 20, why does he look mentally weak? So what he has had some rotten games for us, he's been in the side this season only. He's in a new country and he's playing in a position which he isn't always comfortable in. What are you seriously trying to say? :)

What a Uefa game has to do with a premier league game and ref I don't know.

Certain people moan a bit in the press. Take that as you want :)

Hicks owns half the club, Rafa seems to be okay with Hicks and gets on with him. Rafa wants Parry out. Hicks agrees with Rafa and then all this happens and you turn up professing this to be a good thing.

Babel is 21. I mean, let's face it, he's no Arjen Robben, you know?

Babel was the difference in the Arsenal game.

For all of Walcott's "amazing" run, Babel won the pen and notched the winner.
