So you're effectively saying that he must take the blame for the poor performers but take no credit for the good performers.

Yep. That's how a manager works.

If your team (regardless of profession) does well, you give them the glory and heap the praise upon them. If your team does badly you should, rightly, take it in the neck.

Of course in real life a lot of managers aren't like this. I've experienced the opposite with a couple of bosses over the last few years. Pretty disgraceful, but then some people are pretty egotistical and can't see the bigger picture.

I believe Rafa is an honourable man and knows all this though. He, certainly, will take the blame and shift any credit that comes his way.

Probably the best lineup for me too. When's Agger due back, is it even going to be this season?

There's pictures of him training with the first team before the Barnsley match. Why he still can't play yet is unclear. He has a mohawk now as well.

I guess they don't want to AGGERVATE the injury

I know. I've noticed that he does that as well. I was actually saying that we, as fans, can't fairly criticize him for the poor performers and attribute any good performances to the players alone.

I thought all he did was break a bone in his foot? I have no idea why he has been out pretty much all season with it.

It was a metatarsal injury which, as I'm sure you are aware, are notoriously difficult to gauge where recovery is concerned. He then broke it again as soon as it had healed so this time they are being much more careful with it.

I'd like to see that line-up, too. Unfortunately we're more likely to see Rakim playing on the wing than Gerrard. I'd be surprised to see both Crouch and Torres simply because of Inter's propensity to counter-attack and their quality in that approach. Cruz and Ibrahimovic have really gelled so I expect them to set up with two banks of four, playing deep and hitting it long when necessary. We've definitely got the personnel to win this game, it's just a case of believing again.

My prediction was one player out again; pesky Aurelio. :)

I thought he'd go with that system. I think Kuyt's best used on the right of a three at the moment, he has no place playing off a striker, especially not against this mob. In fact, I'd go as far as to suggest that Kuyt has only looked any good since October when he's been playing as part of a three. I think he'll do well there tonight.

Watch him go out and score a hat-trick of own goals or something now. :(

Okay. My real prediction is that we don't do much, go a goal or two behind, and when Crouch comes on he gives them all sorts of problems...BUT ITS TOO LATE.

LOL!

Tbh I think the ref didnt realise it was a sending off. You notice he had the yellow out, the crowd was going mad and THEN he reached for his red. Too late to change his mind.

Crouch on now please :)

Bringing down an attacker that's gone past you into dangerous positions on both occasions? The first was definately deliberate, not that intent makes any difference in this case.

Liverpool need to get Kuyt off as soon as possible, he isn't a great forward and is an even worse winger. Benitez ought to bring on Pennant asap to take maximum advantage.
