Why? Its not ok for people to talk bullshit. Disciple reckons he could be a Premiership footballer and gets called up on it, whats the DEAL?!

I thought his point was that Mascherano, a defensive midefielder, being the man of the match against Sunderland didn't mean he was worth £18m. That's how I read it.

Ramone is right. To be honest I've got a bad knee, so I'd have to get that sorted before I considered playing for Liverpool. Sorry chaps, you've missed out on my inciteful passing and good engine.

I dunno I wasn't really reading it, I just thought i'd take an opportunity to back up my pal Das and have a pop at Disciple.

Fernando Torres has played down fears over the hamstring injury which forced him off during Spain's victory over France and insists he will be fit to face Chelsea on Sunday.

The Liverpool striker limped off in Seville after just 23 minutes and immediately there were fears that the Spaniard could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

Spain's team doctor Jorge Candel was quick to come out after the game to play down the severity of the injury.

"The injury of Torres is not of major importance," said Candel.

Torres then confirmed that he came off at his own request to make sure he did not damage himself with Liverpool's match with Chelsea very much on his mind.

"I preferred not to risk it," said Torres. "I demanded the change.

"I will have medical tests, but I intend to play on Sunday against Chelsea."

The news will be a huge boost to Rafa Benitez, who would have been sweating over the fitness of his prized striker.

Rafa Benitez has confirmed Liverpool fans' worst fears by revealing Fernando Torres is very unlikely to feature against Chelsea on Sunday.

The striker lasted just 23 minutes of Spain's 1-0 victory over France on Wednesday after picking up a hamstring injury.

The news comes as a major blow for Benitez, who is already without Daniel Agger, Andriy Voronin, Alvaro Arbeloa, Fabio Aurelio and the suspended Xabi Alonso.

On top of this, Javier Mascherano will not arrive back at Melwood until Friday due to Argentina's friendly clash with Guatemala later today.

Benitez said: "We have lost Torres and Mascherano is not back until tomorrow. I don't think it (the international friendly situation) is fair. I think Mascherano will be okay for Sunday but we will have to see.

"The news we have on Torres is that it is a hamstring injury. I need to talk to the doctor but I think he will miss this game. Normally it is a week when a player goes off like this.

"It is a big problem for us."

Woo hoo! I've just found out that I should have a place in a box at Anfield for the game against Newcastle,

Does it have eye holes? Oh, you mean a BOX. Does it have eye holes? I mean, there's one person you won't see in the box at Anfield That's Dirk Kuyt! He doesn't have eye holes for goals. I mean an eye for goal.

So, any ideas on the team tomorrow boys? Its gonna be a tricky one without Torres so they better start Crouch up front. If its Kuyt on his own we have no chance!

------------Reina

--Finnan---Carra--Hyypia--Aurelio

--Pennant--Gerrard--Masch--Benayoun

--------------Kuyt----

----------------Crouch

Does anyone else have a sneaking suspicion that Torres isn't really injured and will start on sunday to the surprise of everyone else?

Looks like the 4-3-3 is back.

-------------Reina

Finnan--Carra--Skrtel--Riise

---------Masch--Lucas

------------Gerrard

-------Kuyt--------Babel

------------Crouch

Although I suppose it could mean Stevie on the right and Babel on the left in a 4-4-2.

Chelsea had no shots on target in the entire 90 mins and managed just one shot from within 25 years of our goal and we still come out with nothing but a point.

Thought we played ok, although obviously lacking in confidence and it is a shame Crouch didnt put away one of his chances.

To be honest the game was identical to our last 20 meetings except they didnt score a penalty/free kick/deflection. Maybe because Lampard was short of fitness (did anyone else notice him when he was on the pitch?).

Babel was very disappointing, but Mascherano was MOTM by a country mile.
