Yes, it certainly took a genius to think that new signing Torres and Crouch (who's not bad for us) should be playing together.

Yeah, you guys all say it after it's been demostrated over several months, sometimes years. I can see these things earlier.

The funniest thing is when I point these things out early I got "R u a fucking troll u obviously don't no anything about football :wub: "

I think you will find ramone, that no one said that when you were talking about Torres playing with Crouch. Also, you don't need to point it out because people who have been reading this thread know you were saying this a while back. A person who doesn't need to be patted on the back quite so much would have sat and waited for someone to say "ramone mentioned this a while back" and you could have sat smug at your monitor knowing you are THE MAN!

My favourite player by some distance at the moment, he's like a persistant little pitbull with endless amounts of energy. He the MAN!

I'm with you on that one and i think we need him more than many of the players out there. He is the sole reason Rafa let Sissoko go in my eyes. Can't wait to see how he plays against Chelsea next week.

I'd fancy my chances against Sunderland. It's like Benyoun - hat trick vs non leaguers, cant pull it out vs West AAaaaam.

There's no doubt he's a good player though, I'm excited by him playing against the good teams to see what hes got.

As far as i'm concerned he's already proved himself against good teams. Be nice if he keeps it up cos the lads got a great future.

Wonder if anything's going to happen in the next couple of days with DIC - the reports over the weekend seemed to imply something would happen early this week.

Good 3-0 win for the reserves tonight, keeps us top of the table. At least we can say that about one of our teams :rolleyes:

Insua's still doing the business at that level. Surely we've nothing to lose by looking at him in the first team a few times during the rest of the season? Especially considering Auelio still can't stay fit and Riise is completely out of favour.

I think Aurelio will start when fit, but yeah, can't hurt to try Insua out there. He did pretty well at the end of last season for us.

So Gerrard's been made England captain for tomorrow. I can't decide whether I'd want him that full time, whether it'd affect how he was for us if he had the responsibility for 2 teams.

I doubt it will affect him at all Captaining two teams. He has a lot of passion playing for his country, possibly more than when he plays for Liverpool. Looking at the rest of the England team he was the solitary choice as captain to be fair, at least until Terry returns.

To be honest, I reckon Gerrard was a dead cert for the captaincy in Terry's absence. Obviously he isn't the most vocal person, but there is literally no one else even close to deserving it is there?
