Rafa doesn't seem to want to use Babel as a second striker just yet though. Wonder why?

Why does everyone want him to play as a second striker? He doesn't strike(lol!) me as a link up striker to sit behind Torres. I would have though with his pace he is considerably more effective on the wing where he can run at players and pull defenders out of position. Quite frankly why rafa refuses to play Crouch is beyond me, he has all the skills to play an excellent foil to Torres and Kuyt continues to be pretty rubbish.

Voronin is not a premiership player, Gerrard turned away in disgust when he gave it away for the umpteenth time and I think it's about time we said goodbye to Riise, he isn't good enough to play on the wing. We've done nothing since the first 10 mins, but worryingly it looks like we have just given up.

I agree. This whole Crouch thing is the biggest mystery of this season.

I mean, remember when Crouch couldn't score for whatever games it was but Rafa stuck by him. Crouch starts to score and he's on the bench. Maybe he's trying to do for Kuyt what he did for Crouch. When Kuyt starts scoring it'll be Voronin's turn, but by then Crouch will have forgotten how to score.

If we lose this one today playing the way we've done in the first half then Benitez really is in big trouble. We could be down to 6th behind Everton by 5pm.

If Villa and Everton both win then it's 7th! :)

Down to 7th according to Stelling. He sounds poorly.

LULz. My friend - a lifelong Red - thought Liverpool would be 10 points "off the pace" this year. I bet him £50 it would be more than 10. That steak dinner I'm going to buy myself is going to taste pretty sweet - sweet with failure and his pain. Come on Villa!
