So what's up then, guys? This whole thing is getting quite depressing.

Just sounds like we haven't got any money. The stadium will have to be reined in, so won't be quite as impressive as the plans shown in the summer. Rafa will most likely have to sell before he can buy in January. And Masch will have to be bought in the summer (which actually does seem sensible really, since we have him on loan til then, we just risk losing/unsettling him).

That's great news.

Just to say as I ain't been in here for a week......last wednesday's performance was immense and we really played well throughout the game. Sunday's result was rubbish but I'm not as gutted as I thought I would be because I didn't feel we deserved to win the game. Man U certainly didn't' either! I hope we go back to Finnan on the right and Arbeloa on the left as soon as possible because Riise or even Aurelio just ain't impressing at the moment. Perhaps this Insua should be playing if he is that damn hot! Agger coming back will be great news too. When is that?

So - team for tonight:

The Liverpool team in full is: Itandje, Arbeloa, Aurelio, Hobbs, Carragher, Alonso, Lucas, Sissoko, Babel, Voronin, Crouch. Subs: Martin, Hyypia, Riise, El Zhar, Benayoun.

I'm....undecided. Depends how bothered both teams are about the Carling Cup I think.

It was his passing yet again. He's great at harrying and putting himself about, but there were so many times it needed an end result tonight. Then the one time he did, Voronin miscontrolled it.

I'm not sure if Crouch is quite right for a 4-3-3, there were so many times he headed the ball down and there was no one there.

But yeah, other than that, the rest played well. Hobbs was great.

Not much of a reaction from the Pompey game guys, what's going on? Looked like a good performance, Masca inparticular I thought was superb, tackling, positioning, distribution, all brilliant.

Also I was reminded of Kuyt's father last week, must be tough to play with that hanging over your head so fair play to him for sticking at it and hopefully he'll come through and start banging in the goals again.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to all you beautiful Red's fans, catch up on Boxing Day after we've (hopefully) put a few more past Derby ^_^

Looking at the table just shows how depressing and inexcusable that flipping Reading result was.

Calm down, doobie. Arsenal lost to Middlesbrough, Man Utd. lost to Boltonia and I'm sure Chelsea have messed up a bit. It was a daft result and a poor team used, but nobody's perfect.
