So Evans missing for the next six games, can we consider this a blessing in disguise; will he be off to Sunderland in the summer (providing they stay up) as that seems to be where ex - United defenders end up, plus he had a loan spell early in his career...

He looked alright during the last two games but yeah, he's mostly been pish this season. I think he's probably the best at bringing the ball out of all our defenders, and has shown in the past that he can read the game excellently too, but he's hasn't really ever kicked on and become a consistent performer. Besides Rojo, all our centrebacks are inconsistent, but he's the only one where you can't say he's still developing his game. I see a move to Sunderland in his future.

Van Gaal seems to like sticking to his new favourite formation of the moment, so I suppose it'll be similar or the same as the last couple of games. Not particularly complaining because Rooney needs another run up front to make Falcao sit the fuck up and pay attention to what he should be doing. Wilson has taken a backseat but possibly needs contemplation time as he understands another system. Blind and Herrera should have been starting together all the time anyway so hopefully they'll be able to work around Ozil, who has kicked on big style lately.

i don't disagree with the first one, it was a dive, but the ref has acted like a twat after that.

bah, i'm just really frustrated by this. United have been by far the better team, and don't deserve to lose this. we've given them both their goals, and now any chance we had of coming back again has been scuppered.

And yet another dive from Januzaj when he was in a great position... Jesus wept.

that's the thing with both those dives. Di Maria had worked a shooting opportunity on his left foot, and Januzaj was through in the penalty area. i don't know why they thought the ref would give them anything when they hadn't been touched, because he's not been giving us anything when we have been fouled.

we need to cut this diving out. it's getting shameful at the moment. Januzaj in particular needs someone to have a word with him.


and jesus we're going to miss De Gea when he fucks off to Real Madrid.

Can't complain too much about that arsenal were the much better team second half we were back to ourselves after a decent first half. Both those dives were really poor form and both correctly booked. Can't complain about the ref he got everything correct if you ask me.

How Fellaini keeps his place is strange. The dives were pathetic and Di Maria should know better.

Most of the game was entertaining so I have no complaints with the result. It's been a chore watching us play for a long while - only towards the end did we resort to hoofing it up to the only tall player we have. Keeping Herrera on and bringing Mata on instead would have been preferable. Good luck to Arsenal, they deserve it.

Nothing will change this season now in terms of our approach play. We have a difficult run of games which will most likely put an end to our top four aspirations.

I know LVG likes to play out from the back, but our guys simply aren't confident enough on the ball. Keeping the ball is fine, but the passing is so fucking slow. Herrera is a player that takes risks with his passing and we had a good first half. Soon as he went off, we didn't offer anything remotely problematic for Arsenal.

Keeping Dave in the Summer would be a huge coup.
