The old Man Utd Thread

Afternoon all,

My neighbour got this shirt from a skip where he works, he’s a Sheff Utd fan and not interested in keeping it.

Can you help us figure out the signatures and roughly how much do you reckon he could get for it? (a quick ebay search suggests around £100)

There is a signature on the back of the frame too saying “Be lucky”.

Any help would be great thanks.

Right hand side, below the P is giggsy (the one that looks like OHO)

The one beneath that is Keano

To the left of the badge is Gary Pallister

It's not from 1996 Fa Cup final

I think it's quite funny that somebodys just chucked it on a skip

They must really not have liked Man U.

I'm thinking of a fair amount of cash to give him for it as I would really like it, my missus has a team poster signed from 94/95 I think in the black kit it's awesome.

I'd knock about fifty quid off for the terrible framing job. It's not centred, it's too high up, the frame is obviously too small, the bloody tag on the shirt is sticking up. It's no wonder someone chucked it in a skip, probably couldn't bear to look at it.

No way the badge would be sewn on that shittily?!!

The game tonight started well. I thought we'd have a good end to end match to watch, but seems we've settled back into the possession obsession with no end product though. Although saying that Rooney really should've scored, maybe twice. Def pen for Newcastle there though. Got lucky there.

Need to bring on Jan for ADM 2nd half

Rooney has been excellent as a lone forward today, he's been a handful for Newcastle's defenders when playing off the shoulder, and obviously he has also been great at dropping deep and bringing others into play too. It was his relentless pressing that makes a goal out of nothing for us, just refusing to let the chance die, and frankly got us an undeserved win. Problem was that even though his movement was great, there wasn't really anyone taking advantage of the space it was creating. There was no real movement from the wings (Di Maria stayed stuck to the byline, which was an odd sight, must've been instructed to do this) and little from midfield. For me the change of Fellaini for Mata should've come much earlier, and had this happened we probably would've carved Newcastle open, who were on the back foot for pretty much the entire game.

Di Maria was excellent tonight, his passing was back to his best.

@tbb

Yeah he was even playing with Fergie's formation (if we count Fellaini as a striker which he sort of was). Unfortunately it was like the last few seasons of Sir Alex's tenure, where we tended to grind out narrow victories while playing fairly uninspiring football. Still, an essential win given everyone around us also got three points.

@Mr Do

Soo... why'd he come off? I don't think he was as bad as against Sunderland, but again Januzaj came on and looked better. Anyway that wasn't so much a criticism of his play as a suggestion that our formation was too rigid in attack, it's hard to break down a deep defence without good movement.

No shit. It's a fake from down the road at The Holy Sports Store. The guy makes lots of fake shirts, some look identical and some are guesses about next season. Apparently it'll be Turkish Airlines on the Chelsea shirt too, which is odd since they're a United partner.

Didn't see the game because I fell asleep (2:45am kick-off is evil here), doesn't sound like I missed much. Was there any credence to the Evans spitting spate?
