The old Man Utd Thread

I think it's more a media slant than reality with Keane. At least, I hope it is anyway. Because they're making him out to be some kind of weirdo.

Jones has looked poor tbh. Not comfortable playing the ball out under pressure, caught of position for the second goal and could've given away a penalty, You could argue some culpability for the first goal as well, he can see Sessegnon's position better than Rojo and should either give him a shout, or deal with the danger himself. Admittedly until Fellaini came on, the defence wasn't getting much protection, but West Brom haven't had to do a lot to be ahead. Same old story I suppose.

Januzaj what? Di Maria twinging something wasn't nice to see, the best player on the pitch and couldn't dent that fairly static defence. We afforded West Brom too much by not starting two strikers when we have them available. A point is better than nothing, but jeez that just reminded me of that game when we had eighty crosses into the box.

I read that we're only 1 point better off than we were with Moyes at this point last season. Is that right?

For some reason, I don't feel things are half as hopeless as they were then.

Although, if that's true, having spent £150mil over the summer and having the alleged master tactician that is van Gaal, surely we should be doing a bit better.

Sunday's going to be interesting.

oh god, "sleepy giants." that ends up meaning exactly the opposite of what they wanted it to mean. it's supposed to imply that you're a major force that's been asleep and is about to wake up and run riot, but they've painted themselves as a formerly strong team that's yawning, is fed up of rampaging, and is about to drop off.
