why the fuck did we not buy this chambers from southhampton!! He plays DR/DC and DMC!!

Exactly. My Uncle grew up in Glasgow and Manchester, but supports Liverpool. They've only won the league once during my life time, but does that make him less of a glory hunter? Of course not.

How did we start talking about this? Would you rather someone did this hipster thing of supporting someone like Arsenal / Dortmund who play nice football, but are sufficiently below the 'top' clubs in terms of success, to avoid such accusations?

Yeah. At least he didn't say he thought we played well.

What wrong with supporting someone you watch to be entertained in the way you want? You sound ridculous judging other people based on how they choose to be entertained. There is no better or correct or morally superior way of watching 22 men run around kicking a football. Teams change, players, owners, stadiums, colours, logos, even location - what are you actually supporting - just the idea of being part of a group probably.

I support a heap of teams caus i have been playing football, football video games and management games and love reading abotut the game for 20 odd years ( i have probably logged 1000+hours in CM and could name and quote stats from every top league in he last decade - Abel Hernandez will be a badass by the way. If you were the TRUE man utd fan that you claim makes you so superior - you would be supporting FC United, as they are truer to the refelction of a Manchester United club.

They better get a move on. Why are we leaving it right up to the last minute again? It makes us look desperate (which we are) and allows other clubs to hold us to ransom. It's a shit way to do business.

I doubt they're really last minute, it is just the agents, third party, selling clubs purposely drag it out and know if in our case, really really want the player try to squeeze the maximum they can out of the buying club.

It is just in the past when we purchased the likes of Nani, Hargreaves and Anderson pretty straight after the season ended; we'd hope that United would be able to get deals in place sooner, but with the manager being somewhat taking over late after the world cup and trying to assess the players first hand; now that he's seen the first and second string playing in competitive games that he realises how big a job he has in taking them back to the up the league

Oh, I'm sure there are other circumstances, but I can't help feel Woodward is one of the main reasons these transfers aren't being done sooner.

Anyway, someone at work has just told me Cleverly is off to Villa. Is that right?

this is the best quote

Gaal said: “I cannot say anything about that because it raises the price. The club shall comment when the time is there to announce it. We cannot react on every rumour. Also players shall go in the meantime. I had a conversation after lunch with the players and I said maybe after this weekend we shall have another group because players shall go away and others shall come in.”

Even Song wouldn't be a bad choice since he won't cost much; not that price is an issue. Really happy we're not stopping with the transfers, good sounds coming out from the club (well, LVG with his comments about Woodward doing the signings), few days left and I'm sure Monday will yield something positive.

De Telegraf reporting that Blind is a 'done deal' to us for £14m, which I think represents a good deal if we're able to make the deal.

Player of the Year in the Dutch League last year (he played CDM), he knows LVG and his system well and not a massive amount of money either.

Vidal won't be happening, neither will Carvalho I reckon either. Most seem to think Strootman will be a United player at some point.

A statement from Ajax read: "Daley Blind will not be included in the selection or Saturday’s training session for the match against Groningen. The player gets permission from Ajax to hold talks with an interested club."
