Not a great performance but I think we deserved the win. Restricted their scoring opportunities and looked dangerous on the counter.

It was a bit scrappy wasn't it, but i think that suited us more than Arsenal. Can't remember them having any clear cut chances as they couldn't get through the defence despite having long spells of possession. Apart from the penalty miss i think Rooney did quite well up top on his own, he held the ball up and played some neat one twos to get the counter attack going. Park couldn't find a final ball, Carrick looked like he was a few mph slower than the game at times, Nani squandered some possession. Fullbacks were both excellent I thought and Anderson was the engine of the team.

Yeah, I think if we can play that XI again at Stamford Bridge we'll have a good shout. I think Fletch was a bit meh, but other than that the performances were fairly satisfying all around. We weren't amazing by any means, but we were solid at the back and threatening going forward. We can start to pull away going into 2011, I should think.

What a mental season though eh? If we do manage to beat Chelsea then I reckon the title is pretty much ours to throw away. Not something I would have contemplated even only a few weeks ago.

If any team was firing on all cylinders or had some consistency this season they'd be walking it by now. I think it's quite telling how far behind the rest of the pack are when the 3 main teams haven't been anywhere near on top form so far.

He's been pretty good the last few games and it shows that Ferguson has faith in him.

I didn't realise that Park was off for a month for the Asia Cup! It leaves us a little short on the wings although I assume that may be part of the reason why Cleverley will be bought back, especially as Valencia isn't slated for a comeback until February at the earliest.

Really looking forward to seeing him in some competitive games for us, by all accounts he's done alright at Wigan and he could be exactly the kind of player to add a bit of momentum for the second half of the season.

Is it pretty certain he is being recalled then?

Not 100% sure but Ferguson said he was likely to be recalled. Ferguson said he wouldn't be going on loan in the first place mind!

Cleverley might be bought back for a month and then could well be sent out at the end of January if Park returns in good health and there are no other injury concerns.

It was Ole's last game as reserve team coach tonight, we beat Newcastle reserves 5-1 (Morrison (2), Will Keane (2), Tunnicliffe) leaving him with a managerial record of P68 W43 D16 L9. Hopefully he goes on to be successful I'd love him to be our manager one day.

Probably my favourite player of all time.
