The old Man Utd Thread

I think Scholesy is due his 100th Prem goal today.

I wish. Yet again, we look devoid of ideas and we HAVE to win this or we're fucked. Nani's back to his usual shit self. Berbs is playing far too deep. Our defence still looks shaky. I suppose one positive is that Nev isn't on the pitch.

I've also heard Rooney might be out of the CL match. Looks like we'll be out of that as well then.

Bob, Hoop,

You see, as negative as I generally am it always works out well when we win, because I never believe we're going to! It's perfect reverse psychology. On myself.

Besides, Rochdale are my second team/original love and they're flying high at the top of the second division at the moment. United just can't compare!

Scholes still has utterly fantastic close control, he brings it away from the challenges so well for the goal. I have this horrible feeling that he's going to retire this season, and never have anything to do with football ever again.

Just watched the highlights, a question for those that watched the full game.

Which was worse, United's defending or Wolve's finishing?

The latter. If they'd had any decent strikers on the pitch, we would have lost today. I hate to say it, but Vidic's heart just isn't in it anymore.

Get out of here with that future predicting magic.

Thats nothing, I actually posted that I thought Anderson would score on the day he got his goal first official goal against Spurs (is he still only on one?).

 As a skeptic I would say its coincidence, but on the other hand... Voodoo innit.

Works both ways though, doesn't it. Diouf missed three chances a Utd player should finish, that header where he throws himself into the air particularly weak. That said I went white when they were in during the last minute, seeing the rerun still shocks at just how casual Carrick is in losing the ball and how weak his following attempt at interception was. Then there was Gibson and Park making a mess of some lovely Berbatov work to play them in. Thought Berbatov did well in creating chances, without ever really looking like scoring himself.

Thats the issue really, I never feel confident that he will get us a goal when needed, especially when playing on his own. He pretty much made the goals in the Carling Cup final, but then he had proven finishers along side him. Diouf missed a hat-full yesterday, seemingly in a competition with Bendtner and after him we don't have anyone else now as a striking option. If Rooney were out for more time I can't see us scoring that many at all.

We could do with another really good striker basically. We need to put in whatever monopoly money supposedly Gill has access to into getting someone like Higuain. I genuinely don't think we would cope with a long term Rooney injury.

Yet ANOTHER injury. I don't know what's going on, but our players have been dropping like flies this season.

I asked this before, but is there anywhere I can find out which players have been out and how much time they've spent on the sidelines for this season? I'd be really interested to know.
