The old Man Utd Thread

I'm saying that if I can't be arsed it's kinda difficult and probably silly for me to be bothered if the players aren't mithered about performing I guess.

Have you not noticed the trend over the years for Utd to lose when there's nothing riding on it? I'll always remember that year we beat Arse 6-1 at home at Xmas, probably having the thing won by that game too. Ended up like 12 points clear. But, yeah. Derby County beat us at home in the final home game, 1-0. I'll never forget just how pathetic we where that day. It was followed by two away defeats that were nearly as bad.

Then stuff like West Ham and Tevez when we should have relegated the fuckers, there's been loads of times I can recall. I think I expect a really, really bad performance and in my mind think that perhaps the preparation or intensity is wrong and, wham, with nothing to play for it seems to happen. Was fully expecting it at Hull last year, only they were the most pathetic team I've ever witnessed so we got away with it.

We've really not been great but the 3 points are more or less in the bag. The Scholes/Gibson combination appears to be just as rubbish as the Carrick/Anderson one.

De Laet has done pretty well though, always looks to get forward and is deceptively quick. Obertan has shown some really nice touches, lovely little give and go at the end there.
