I was just watching some of the Sky Sports preview at lunch time and there were shots of the team training in Rome, and who was that stood smiling in the background having a little kick? Owen Hargreaves! Hurrah he's not dead, he might actually play next year!

Nerves are starting to set in proper now.

Some interesting facts, all robbed from the BBC feed;

Messi has never scored against English opposition in the CL (10 attempts)

Ronaldo has never scored against Spanish opposition in the CL (6 attempts)

I think it's pointless betting on anyone in particular to score, except perhaps Ronaldo. We're United, the goals could come from absolutely anywhere. That's how we play, a move could be ended by anyone. I'm certain that we'll score, only problem is I'm fairly sure Barca will too. Should be a good game.

It's wierd, last season I thought he had no ambition, was resigned to relegation and only kept them up by luck. This season just seems to be a continuation of the form they had in the games that kept them up, which suggests that he's actually a genius.

There is no chance, and I mean no chance of Barca winning this. Congrats on retaining it. It should be us, and it winds me up that everyone keeps saying the two best teams when only you earnt your way there, and they got there thanks to a world class prick.

You'll be too strong attacking, too strong defending and if needed you know how to be direct. I predict 3-0, and I seriously can't understand how you're not favourites in some parts.

I haven't heard anyone say they would be the first to retain the European cup. All I've heard is they would be the first to do it since the Champions league format was introduced.

Very surprised at that half.

You seem nervous - against Arsenal you were right in their faces, and destroyed them.

I think SAF will get your boys up at half time.

Pique never looks that comfortable at the back, already almost gifting a good chance.
