I read that Anderson has said he will strip naked in celebration if he scores on Wednesday

Oh man! I'll be doing more than that if he scores!

Bring on his giant sexy naked ass goals.

I'm not sure about his tactical prowess or his ability to motivat epeople, but he'd look cool as fuck on the touchline at OT

I don't care what Newcastle and Shearer have taught us this season, I've never wanted anything more. OK, perhaps Keane as manager and Cantona as his assistant and Bryan Robson as the kit man, but that's just being greedy.

I just typed 'Cantona beach' into YouTube and it was the second result. Massive LOL, I'd love to see the full thing. He looked so gangsta, he's exactly what we need.

Oh man, I can't stop myself from imagining that bloke as Benitez having just saying 'that is a fact' to Cantona. :)

To be honst, I want a good/great manager over a personal hero first and formost. I'd have no problem with him going away and learning the trade for a few years, even under SAF, but as Adams/Ince/Shearer etc etc has taught us there seems to be no better way to kill a club hero than to give him the manager's job. Especially their first job.

Ole is a better example of someone i'd like to see come through the ranks. Hes learning his trade. Similar roles for Giggs and Scholes is also what i'd like to see.

But to clarify, Eric and the right experience would be a dream scenario.

Nothing I enjoy more than clicking into an Anderson love-in ;)

So, tomorrow. Holy Christ, tomorrow. It's nearly here. My excitement levels are rising at an alarming pace. I'm gonna be a mess come victory or loss tomorrow night, and I can't bloody wait. Champions League final, this is what it's all about boys. Let's fucking enjoy it, eh?

How can you not like a man with that smile!

Getting pretty nervous already, tomorrow is going to be HELL. Constantly running through the team, the matchups, how they will play out and everything in between. Will Anderson cope with Iniesta? Will O'Shea deal with Henry? Evra and Messi? Can Ronaldo destroy their defense? Will Vidic make Eto' look like a 3rd rate European striker? The worst bit will be the 2 or so hours from getting home until the match starts.

Watching the Sky preview earlier it looked like Ferdinand was fit and likewise Iniesta and Henry too.

I'M FUCKING HYPED. I also seem to have some pretty rapid bowel movement at the moment, hopefuly unrelated to tomorrow's game.

@Chooch;

Paddypower will refund all first/last scorer bets if there is a goal in the last 5 mins of normal time. Pretty good chance of that happening so could be worth going with them. Anderson is currently 33-1 to be last goalscorer.

So the team. I think it's got to be...

--------------Van Der Sar----------------

--O' Shea---Ferdinand---Vidic---Evra--

-----Anderson----Carrick----Giggs-----

----Park-------Ronaldo------Rooney----

Basically the same team that beat Arsenal, obviously Giggs in for Fletcher though. What do you think?

TODAY'S THE DAY

It's come around so quickly I haven't really began to feel the pre-match nerves yet. I'm still coming down from winning the Premier League again!

Bit of news ahead of the game. Stretford End Flags are once again making a massive mosaic to be displayed before the match. It will read FOR SIR MATT and have his picture alongside, here's a mockup from the website.

122ns07.jpg

I expect it'll really hit me once I see that on TV. I was on the street at Sir Matt's funeral procession in 1994, despite being young I was well aware of what the great man had done for the club. I read an interview with Patrice Evra a few days ago where he said he didn't feel happy or part of United until he read about and watched a DVD on Busby. We can never forget what happened at Munich, what happened 10 years later and we can never forget those who paved the way for all of us to support the best football team in the world. This football club more than any other cherishes its history.

Sermon over, there'll also - finally - be a victory parade ONLY IF WE WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

Here's the route:

CLICK

ManUtd.com reports the bus leaves the town hall at 5pm and will take four hours to reach Trafford. I've got the day off work and will be lining up on Deansgate at around noon and following the bus the whole way. Let's hope there's no leaks of anything like this, should we lose:

I couldn't pick a team for tonight. I expect Sir Alex will surprise us all, again. I think Berbatov will start and we'll play a conservative, efficient side.

Ok, now I'm nervous.

Bricking it today. Will we play it conservative and look to contain their attacking threat thus playing on the counter? Do we take it to them and play open (which would be suicidal IMO)?

A lot of people say Barca's defence are crap, and they might very well be, but a lot of teams don't often get the ball to put that back-line under pressure. Barca are a good side when they haven't got the ball, which lets face it, isn't often.

I reckon Sir will look to keep a close eye on Iniesta, more so than Messi IMO. Him and Xavi had Carrick and co. chasing shadows when they lined up for Spain earlier in the year.

If we can get hold of the ball and use it wisely, then I think we might just edge it tonight.

Well, I've managed to blag the day off work tomorrow, due to the fact I'll be pissed through either celebrating too much or drowning my sorrows.

I'm planning on finding a good spot in Manchester somewhere to watch it, but I don't really fancy some grotty sports bar. Does anyone have any suggestions of decent city centre boozers where I can see it?

Pure in the Printworks are selling tickets, should be a few thousand there. Apart from there I'd recommend The Footage on Oxford Road, it's always mental in there. You should go the Blaze on Warwick Road though.

I'm not going in the Printworks. That's the kind of shit place that'll be full of the kind of dick heads I'm trying to avoid.

When you say Footage, do you mean the Footage & Firkin down near the Deaf Institute?

Where's the Blaze then, is it far out of town?

I've just been recommended the Seven Oaks, off John Dalton Street. Anyone been there?

The Bishops Blaze is the Wetherspoons about 30 foot away from the actual stadium.

And yeah I do mean Footage, probably not your cup of tea though. I was there when we won the league, stood on the bar in a Sir Alex mask swinging my shirt around my head.
