The old Man Utd Thread

More gems from the BBC live text...

"Cristiano Ronaldo goes down after a tackle from Michael Brown but makes the world's quickest recovery and is soon back in the mixer. Good grimace, too."

"Another rubbish effort. Hmm. Cristiano Ronaldo's free-kick thumps into the wall again and do you know what? He looks like he might just cry. Or is it only the rain... "

"Cristiano Ronaldo beats the Wigan offside trap superbly, with Mario Melchiot playing him on, but he's flagged anyway. Are they trying to bring him to tears? "

:)

This game plan of stringing Liverpool fans along isn't really doing my nerves any good :)

There's one things that Liverpool fans are good at and that's being seriously deluded. They'd be strung along if they were in the bottom half of the table.

I am having serious doubts that Ronaldo will be at United next season.

As good as he is, all of his crying and bitching (not to mention admiring erections during training) does my fucking head in.

So is the consensus that Tevez's goal was a brilliant piece of skill, rather than a fluke? It was impossible to tell from my 3fps Spanish stream (well I think it was Spanish; confusingly there was a Turkish flag in the corner of the screen. Although I did enjoy the little theme tunes they played after the goals, such as the commentator singing "Michael Carrick" to the tune of Pretty Woman when he scored).

Ah yes, football fans on the internet. An endless source of sweeping statements.

Well, the 'title race' is pretty much all over now, so we can concentrate on the far more interesting 'relegation battle'. Not that I'd want to be fan of any of the clubs involved, but extremely entertaining to watch from afar. Yeah, we'll probably play a similar team to today against Arsenal, then rest a lot of players against Hull for the Barca game. I can't see us losing either game tbh. I'd love to go into the Hull game with nothing much to do, though, and for Liverpool to go into their last two game consigned to failure.
