Really killed my buzz that sending off of Fletcher, then Adebaoyr goes for a leg breaker and gets a booking. Then Bender goes and does anasty one to from what Pleat was saying on the radio, nice to see the Arses revertying to their old hacking cunt selves

Those early goals really killed Arsenal. After that it was very comfortable, with the defence barely troubled at all.

The Fletcher sending off has taken some of the shine off it, awful decision really. Still - Helloooo Rome!

but fuck me, that was a terrible decision and the apparent fact it can't be appealed shows how mentalist the people who run football really are.

Nah, Ronaldo last year, probably. Not this year though but it is close. Besides, it's Iniesta > Messi > Ronaldo.

Arsenal were terribly disappointing tonight. Quite telling that they haven't won a thing since Patrick Vieira left them, they've never replaced the big guy.

Taking off Gibbs was a mad decision too. Where was Eboue for the final Man U goal?

So much for having faith in his lads.

It was men against boys out there, a comprehensive victory. Fletcher thing was ridiculous, it's a pity when you get a referee like that who, despite the result never being in doubt, still manages to both amaze and upset both sets of fans.

That referee was poor all match and made an error which has cost an honest player a dream. We shouldn't expect anything less. But UEFA? They can fuck off. Refusing to include a rule that allows for a red card like that to be rescinded is disgraceful and cheating the game.

Ronaldo is more of a complete player than anyone. Ronaldo scores all sorts of goals that them players could only dream of :D

Isn't a slide tackle from behind a red card? Last time I checked it was. I guess from the ref's angle it just looked like he hacked him down.

When your 3-0 why even bother making a challenge like that, just let him score.

A sliding tackle through a player from behind is a red card. The ref will probably watch it and go "uhhh...it was his hand on him, yeah, that was the reason I gave it..."

Maybe it's just that Ronaldo is so... hateable. Messi isn't. But yeah, fair point, can't argue with the 40 goals.

Well done to United, we played the some other team off the park ;)

Every one of our players put in a performance, but man of the match awards goto Park for his work rate and great goal. Plus Ronaldo for an absolutely superb free-kick. Our defence did a great job at the back, and Rooney played it safe with the yellow card.

Shame about Fletcher though :lol: Stupid idiot ref.

Absolutely gutted for Fletcher. Really taken the shine off my night, I was in dreamland until that. We were magnificent, Ronaldo and Rooney particularly, again. Great to see us scoring goals, keeping clean sheets and playing that kind of football at the most crucial time of the season. I think Fletch would have started the final, particularly if we get Barca. He's our best and only (until Hargreaves is back) defensive midfielder and will definitely be missed. He's had a fantastic season, easily the best of his career. He's won over all the fans, became a crucial member of the squad and to have it all taken away from him unjustly. Just sad. Now we'll have Scholes starting and picking up a booking in the opening minute.

Fantastic all round except for poor Fletch. Never a penalty in my book.

The Ronaldo free kick was a free kick I thought too, he didn't get any of the ball and he ran into Ronaldo. Soft it may have been, but I still thought it was a foul.

Arsenal have been a bit dump though.

Referee has been weak all over the pitch, the difference is Arsenal are just giving the ball away or hoofing it into the box and we're clearing.

I didn't say you were rubbish. I meant you have barely had to get out of 2nd gear and havn't been pressured at all.
