The old Man Utd Thread

I thought Berbatov played ok today too, he linked up with play and brought other players into the game, all round a great team performance, Boro were pretty bad I'd have expected more from the home team, but credit to our team,

Thought Berbatov was fine today, put in the graft and not getting recognised for it as per.

Kiko looked good again.

Could tell that the boss had told Rooney to be more selfish and take some shots. :( Shame none of them were on target.

That's going to be a derby and a half.

Was a meh game today. Over and done with from the starting whistle there was never any doubt about it. Giggs was superb, him and Scholes in the centre of the midfield makes me very happy. His passing is sensational. We should have scored more again, but that's been a recurring theme this season. I do think Berba did well but he just frustrates me. Compare how we attacked on Wednesday to today. There was no pace, no intensity. He just slows everything down to a crawl.

Yeah, the Spurs game proved that Berbatov slows our team down. :D

We can't attack at 100 miles an hour every game, it doesn't work like that. He adds a composure to the front line not to mention he can actually control the ball, get it down and play others in. He's different what we have and thats why he was bought. He's there to provide the link from midfield to attack and in my opinion he does it fantastically!

He was decent yesterday, some sloppy passes at times but did his job and tackled and tracked back on a number of occasions, it was a case on conserving energy and not fucking up which we did to perfection. We won at a canter and it was the best possible preparation we could expect for the Arsenal game.

just watched the real-barca highlights and fuck me how easy was it for barca to just stroll through their defence, i mean messi's 2nd was like training as he just walked towards the goal and had time for a little dummy and to slot it away. Real look really poor. Barca should have got 10.

If Ronaldo goes, we need someone with some goals in them, not just shortness and speed. Ribery is who I would want, although i'm not sure we'd get him.

Raphael Honigstein is about as reliable as it gets when it comes to sources, so theres something there probably. I was under the impression he wanted to go to Barca though.

Looks like it will be another summer of terrible drawn out transfer sagas. Hopefully whatever happens with Ronaldo will be sorted out soon either way, and whoever comes in does so without any problems. :(

I'm glad we're looking at him, for my money there are only a few players out there who could replace Ronaldo, Ribery and Messi being a couple of them.
