I think you'll mop em up in the first 10-15 of the first half, scoring 1 or 2, then play it out for 2 or 3-0. Can't see them scoring at the moment, for all their possession in the last 15.

Trying to jinx us?...... :(

We know from the Liverpool game no matter how quiet they are, they can score goals out of nothing. I'd be happy to take this result to the Emirates to be honest. No away goals scored and one up would be a great platform to build on. Anything else is a bonus.

I think Arsenal made us look better than we actually were for some of the match but we deserved the win and keeping a clean sheet was a massive bonus. How much better can Arsenal get before next Tuesday? We should get through this but you can guarantee there is some drama left in this tie.

Well i'll say this, I didn't believe it myself until very recently:

The only thing that appears a certainty to me after today's game, is that Tevez will be gone at the end of the season. (I hope I'm wrong!).

EDIT: Also credit to Fletcher who was bloody brilliant today. Also to my fav player Evra who prevented Walcott from getting a look in and somehow managed to defend from their box!

Fletch has really found his feet and started doing a great job, glad to a Scot in amongst a world class team again :(

But yeah i dont want Tevez to go ethier but i doubt a supposed 30m is viable for another player really, but he's done fantatsic for us.

I definitely would have taken 1-0 before the game but in the end it seems a bit disappointing considering how much we dominated the game. Arsenal were extremely poor truth be told, they never really looked like creating anything. Lots of passing around 2/3 of the way up the pitch and bugger all else. Still, an early goal for them at Highbury and it all suddenly looks very different; but you have to fancy us getting an away goal and going through based on tonight.

Just reading the player ratings on f365 (I know!);

Diaby - 5

Nasri & Fabregas - 6

Anderson & Fletcher - .........5!

There is no way on earth they even attempted to watch the game! Both were excellent last night, as was Carrick. I really like seeing Anderson in a more forward role but WHEN WILL HE SCORE!!? You can guarantee he scores 30 yard screamers in training every day but can't get within 10 yards of the goal on match day.

Well those ratings are bollocks, I was at the match last night and it was fairly obvious that our midfield three stopped Arsenal getting a kick. Also Tevez was my man of the match, when he went off we were all mystified and as is usual Berbatov didn't do much. With Berba' on Arsenal also found it much easier to play the ball out from the back as he just doesn't know how to press a defender with any conviction.

Anyway it's a shame we never got the second goal as I think that would have sewn the tie up.

I've seen Anderson hit countless 25 yarders and they always, always, go straight into row Z.

He needs to find the back of the net, once he has done I think his shooting will improve dramatically. I don't think he's got a technique issue or anything, its more the fact that he hasn't scored. The sooner he scores, the better for him I feel.

Anyone know what his goal celebration is like? It better be worth the bloody wait!

He uses his bum as a space hopper to bounce all the way down the pitch, land on Van Der Sar's shoulders and produces a magical green arrow from inside his mouth which he fires into the heart of the sun using one of his dreadlocks as a makeshift bow, causing the sun to instantly explode and wiping out all life in our solar system, such is the prophecy (penalties are exempt). The only reason he hasn't scored yet is to protect humanity from this fate.

I thought Berbatov had a fantastic game. Held the ball up well, made some good passes and was even seen defending at a couple of points! Anderson was quality again and Fletch had a cracking game. I had Big John in the sweepstake too!
