I can't see him doing it from the start unless he is completely convinced we will blow them away, and even with their defence in tatters I don't think that is likely. I expect...

-------------------VDS---------------------

--O-Shea--Ferdinand--Vidic-----Evra---

--Ronaldo--Anderson--Carrick--Giggs--

-----Berbatov-------------Rooney--------

Anderson was rested at the weekend and has been excellent his last couple of games, you would really fancy him to have a good game against a still slightly under par Fabregas. I guess Carrick will play instead of Fletcher, not much point in going toooo defensive against Arsenal. If he brings in Tevez as well I could see Carrick being left out and Giggs bought into the centre with Rooney dropping left and Tevez in behind Berbatov

I assume Arsenal will play a 4-5-1 with Adebayor as a lone front man so if we can dominate the midfield and stop Nasri/Fabregas we should be able to get a result here.

I think that lineup is spot on for tonight Phresh.

I still think that the four of them can be very effective without being overly attacking. Rooney on the left puts in a fantastic shift every time, he'll track back and not shirk his responsibilities in defending.

Who knows, Sir Alex might surprise us all.

The manager was also talking about 1-0 being a brilliant score and one he'd be delighted with, plus the fear of an away goal; that in mind I think he'll play more conservatively with Park, Giggs and Anderson than that Tevez/Berbatov/Rooney/Ronaldo line up.

The game in November was brilliant, great football from both teams... however we lost. I'd much prefer we went with that lesser offensive, harder working side for tonight, really is no need to try and put the tie to bed tonight.

I'd maybe prefer Tevez to Berbatov, but other than that I'd like Phresh's team, though I expect a place for Park somewhere bearing in mind how much of a run around Lennon gave... maybe at the expense of Carrick and Giggs in the middle? I wouldn't be surprised to see Rooney on the wing either to help the fullback.

So, not necessarily the team I'd want, but I'd expect this:

________VDS

O'Shea Rio Vidic Evra

Rooney Anderson Giggs Park

____Berbatov Ronaldo

O'Shea never fills me with confidence when he plays at RB, and like Bowser I'd like to see Tevez and Park (or Fletcher) play. With that in mind I'd go with this team:

--------------------VDS-------------------

---Rafael--Ferdinand--Vidic-----Evra---

--Fletcher/Park---Carrick---Anderson--

----Tevez----Ronaldo-----Rooney------

I'm expecting Carrick or Fletcher to start in play of Park. Park's form since the international break hasn't been all that good, where as Fletcher/Carrick have been steady in the last couple of games they've played.

There is so many combinations on what team to play its almost impossible to predict.

Hmm. That could work really well. Evra, Rafa, Park (Fletch to a lesser extent) and Anderson are all players that like to take the ball for a run, so there'd be plenty coming down the wings, freeing up Tevez and Rooney to come inside and do their thing. Hmm. I like it, but I doubt that's what he'll go for. Tevez, Park and Evra starting in the same formation? No, that would be too awesome. SAF doesn't like the awesome levels to be that high.

I'm sure Giggs will play as he didn't feature against Spurs at the weekend. Berbatov has to start for me too.

It's hard to tell with Berbatov, I think the game will be played at a very high tempo and I don't think that really suits him. Then again, he's the sort of player with his touch that can buy a bit of extra time for himself like Scholes....

I was lucky enough to be at the FA Cup game last season when we beat them 4-0, and the team I've picked is quite similar to that with a few obvious changes. This is the team from the game last year:

-----------Van der Sar-----------

--Brown---Ferdinand---Vidic-----Evra

-----Fletcher--Carrick--Anderson------

-----Park---Rooney------Nani------

So obviously Ronaldo is in for Nani, Brown is injured so Rafael is in, and Tevez would play up top with Rooney and Ronaldo. We destroyed them that day though, mainly due to the pace that we played at, and I think it could work again tonight. If you're interested the Arsenal team that day was....

------------Lehmann--------

---Hoyte----Gallas---Toure---Traore

Eboue---Fabregas---Silva-----Hleb

----Eduardo------Bendtner------

Well this is a pretty big opportunity for Tevez. I've not minced my words when saying I think he often flatters to deceive with his workrate but I hope he has one of his good games today.

To be honest while we obviously wouldn't want to lose an away goal, I don't think it would be as bad against Arsenal as it would be other teams. There are always goals in both home and away games against them and they're not naturally suited to sitting back on a lead. That's no disrespect to Arsenal since they're plenty capable of scoring a lot but a score draw, for example, at OT wouldn't set us up as badly for a second leg as against some other teams.
