I'll be surprised if he can get into the dressing room right now, his head must feel so big.

Well, 3 points in the bag. Can't say I'm happy with the way we're performing (in fact it's really fucking depressing) but at this stage of the season all that matters is that we win.

I thought we were decent in the second half. We controlled the play without really creating any chances. Scholes is a different player than he used to be. Too often he gets the ball and plays it 10 yards to Carrick, without moving. He's either lost his confidence to play attacking passes or doesn't have it in him anymore.

What did people think of Foster in goal today? Considering he had only 3 defenders in front of him and only one of them considered as 1st choice.

I didn't see all of it as I was working and feed was a bit shaky. The Sunderland goal probably could have been avoided, but was mostly due to bad defending as usual. DIdn't get tested too much apart from that of what I saw.

The feed I was watching was pretty bad but wasn't Foster quite at fault for the goal? He came for the cross and completely missed it and the header was really weak. He would probably have saved it if he hadn't come and missed.

I also though the Macheda goal looked a total fluke, like he stuck a leg out and got a really lucky deflection but again it was hard to make out on the feed.

Goal was definitely Fosters fault, got the flight of the ball wrong and it just flew straight over him. On the upside he clearly didn't let it effect him and was excellent after.

At least it looks like we've got a little bit of form back and although i'm not sure it will be in time for Tuesday it can hopefully see us over the line for the league. It also looks like we'll have most of the team injury free in a couple of weeks too, Anderson played 10 mins today, Rafael and Brown should be back in 1/2 weeks and Ferdinand maybe sooner.

Sunderland only got one but they had plenty of very nice chances that better teams would have buried.

Our defense is unbelievably porous. Gary Neville needs to be on a bench, badly. He is not ready at all. And Vidic is not at all composed any more. Where is Brown?

Neville's been fine at RB, it's not like we've had any choice! Solid performance today.

Brown is ~2 weeks, Rafael ~1. I've been surprised by Ferguson's reluctance to bring in Fabio, his form for the reserves has been excellent and in a game like todays O'Shea can easily carry on at RB, or even Fabio at RB. Great to see Macheda get another goal, accidental or not.

Will be interesting to see what team he goes with on wednesday now. Scholes has played the last two so you would think he'll be left out with Giggs being brought in. Will Berbatov be risked (he didn't look full fitness today) or will he go for Tevez/Rooney in a standard 4-4-2? I'm confident there will be goals on Wednesday night but it's just a case of if we score enough (without conceding of course)!

Tell you what guys, we can play as shite as we want as long as we win. In fact, in my twisted reality i'd love it if we won the league playing diabolically bad and getting last minute winners with Liverpool and Chelsea playing wonderous football. It would make me laugh.

I think Nev as been fine too to be honest, he's coming in for some major criticism in the last 2-3 weeks or so though. I'd have thought Fabio would have had more chances then what he's had, it does seem very bizzare that is for sure. All said and done I'm looking forward to getting back Rafa and Brown though, with the latter adding a bit more steel in defence.

I think Berba will play on Wednesday too, thought the first half he did well but did lose his way in the second which is probably due to fitness. He probably played in that game to get some play time to be ready for the away leg. Although he did come on off and get some ice on his ankle or calf it looked like.

In a must win game like Porto I'd like to see Rooney Giggs Berba and Ronaldo all on together, probably at the expense of Park.

Park is probably our most hard working player he wont be rested for a game like this.
