The old Man Utd Thread

I think every one of the points on the list i posted are out of order, and for that reason i have a dislike of the fans of Liverpool football club that did these things and continue to do these things...

What, like Rush scoring, them drawing 3-3 in 94, beating you 5 times in the trot. Yep, well out of order, what cunts!

you are an idiot.

I think people who sing Munich songs are knobs

Yes, they are. Everyone I know would completely agree with you on that score, including those who have Liverbird / "five stars" tattoos...

Also its the hypocrisy I hate about most football fans. A premiership football gives a fan the finger after having some song sung about his baby taking it up the arse, and 10000 people call the police and report it as a crime.

I'm not sure it's strauight up hipocrisy, I don't think those 1000 are offended by getting the finger, I think those 1000 think that they can get someone they dislike into trouble by reporting them.

Good news that he sees his future here, I think the least he should get next season is the #2 spot, VDS has probably got another year in him, so another year on loan might be the thing for him if he wants to get to the World Cup anyway.

In the long term it totally makes sense for him to at least stay untill VDS retires, hes got 10-15 more years of top-level football ahead of him, and starting out so young at such a big club is almost guarentee him improoving to an international level over the coming years.

I'm glad he seems to be thinking of the long term plan rather than the short along with Fergie, shows a lot of maturity.

Likewise, I wouldn't chant about Hillsborough or Heysel, but I'm more than happy to sing 'Feed the Scousers' or 'Park, Park'. There just seems to be a feeling in this thread that it's wrong to hate other teams. That's what footballs all about!

Nah. I think Bowser put his feelings on the matter across well; he hates us but he doesn't condone the truly nasty stuff and he thinks it's small time to hear your lot singing about us every game. I agree with that. It makes me laugh when I'm watching you play another side and can hear "without killing anyone" and other such scouse themed ditties every 5 minutes. I fucking despise your club and large sections of its support but I'd be ashamed to sing/hear our lot singing about United when we're not playing them.

Jesus Christ. I'll spell it out.

When that piece of shit Celtic song comes on to create a false atmosphere at Anfield I have to leave the room it angers me so much it's both irrational and scarey.

When Charlie Boy Ince scored and celebrated against us in 99 I picked up the foot stool I was perched nervously on and very nearly put it through the screen.

When Liverpool sing 5 times I become so churlish that all I can think is what a fucking shite song it is, and how poor a piece of English it is. This is a fucking football song, FFS, and I'm noticing the words.

To this day I adore David James and his ability to drop the ball on the head of the nearest Utd player. In a similar vein I want to add Danny Murphy to the list of Smackrat Fowler and Dennis Wise of faces I want to pummel.

I deeply, deeply despise Heinze because he wanted to go to that club. He was my favourite player.

When we win the league and take both their records, Englands most successful domestic side and 18 titles, it'll rank as the best thing the club has done. Not because it was a particularly interesting or exciting season, but because it'll force them to shut their fucking mouths and what was once an impossible dream will be a reality. It'll be so good because I hate them and what ferguson set out to do will be so near to complete.

I also feel that trading jibes about death like they're Pokemon cards has nothing to do with football or rivalry, it's sick people chanting sick, mindless drivel... I thought I made that clear when talking of Glasgow clubs and stuff. Perpetuating it is counter productive and has no place.

As a personal aside I see no issue singing anti Scouse songs WHEN WE PLAY THE BASTARDS.

Edit- and some more:

Was it Poppalarge that was in their thread the other day stating Gerrard will never win the Premiership? Who ever it was I pissed myself with laughter at the sheer nerve to post that a few days after that result, and then became quite giddy that it quite probably is a very real possibility. A player that gets in their all time XI and quite probably in the top 5, will never do what the club was synonymous for.

Utd scored in the last few minutes, Neville ran to the away fans and groped and kissed his badge. The fact he had nothing to do with the goal, that he fucked it up and missed the badge first time, that he knew he'd get done for it were all irrelevant- he ran half the pitch to them so he can stand in front of them and show what that goal meant.

I don't sing Park Park because its offensive towards Park.

In fact it sums up football chants, they're fucking dumb

If Park was gay would it be "park park wherever you may be, you like cocks up yer arse you big queen........"

I wasn't particularly referring to you, Bowser. I know you're a fellow Manc. I found it strange people went in the Liverpool thread to offer their 'congratulations, best team won' sentiments after the game the other week. Can you imagine that outside Old Trafford?

I'm being completely honest when I say that I have genuinely never witnessed this occur - either live or on tv.

I can hardly remember us singing about other teams than the ones we were playing at all.

The fact that you and Everton always do just seems to generally bemuse L'pool fans.

Weren't we given the option to play the Villa game at Saturday lunch time? I am sure I remember seeing it originally scheduled for then but Fergie wanted extra time for the International players to return

We could have had the Villa game moved to Saturday, but I think Ferguson decided we need all the preparation time we can get to start playing well again and make sure we don't throw the Premiership away.

Edit: Yes.

Man Utd: Van der Sar, Neville, O'Shea, Evans, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Giggs, Tevez.

Subs: Foster, Park, Welbeck, Gibson, Martin, Macheda, Eckersley.

Macheda? Rio's injured.

If we don't win this Liverpool will win the league.
