Sorry, that was meant to say "I watched him..."

You have MUTV?!

Oh man..

Is the cooking show a bit like Come Dine With Me with Pat Evra?

I have MUTV yeah, why? What with the "Oh man" bit?

Not quite come dine with me, its called "Red Devil's Kitchen" and it with the head Chef at Utd I think. Evra was the first one to take part. Irwin is next followed, by Robson and then Sir Alex. Paddy Crerand and some suit from the hospitality were the judges. Looking forward to the Fergie one.

That wasn't what I was laughing at, just the fact that there is a cooking show on MUTV and that you were watching it.

Oh, right. It was either watching cooking or whaching the shitty Liverpool game :(

Jealousy I suppose, have never even watched a show on it as I don't have satalite.

I would love to see a United Come Dine With Me though!

It's not a brilliant channel by any means but it does show the reserves live as well as reruns of all the first team games on Sunday's which is good.

There's a lot of shit on MUTV, but some of it is alright. The come dine with me thing I'd imagine is good light hearted fun.

It was great light hearted fun!

Pat and Park are best friends apparently. I've seen pictures of them together in a model train shop in the Trafford Centre. :(

There's also a brilliant video on YouTube of the team after we won the league last May. Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson are all being stupid for the camera, and it pans round and Pat and Park are in the corner looking stoney faced. :(

Reads as pretty obvious to me.

It's a fuckin ridiculous statement that I suppose i should expect from Gabz!

So all the other managers in the world aren't worth a wank then eh?

When Rafa Benitez for example inspired Liverpool to come back from 3-0 down at half time to win the most thrilling Champion's League final of all time, that doesn't mean shit compared to 'The Special One' gettin Inter to string 2 passes together and have a shot or two for 10 mins in the second half?

riiiiight ok then.

Don't bother Hiddink, Capello, O'Neill, Wenger, Ramos, Guardiola, Emery, Ancelotti, Tom, Dick, or Harry, only José and Sir Alex have the ability to inspire a football team, so you're probably just wasting your time.

Just like I should expect you to be a prick about it I guess, eh?

Yeah it was an over the top statement in retrospect. I was just trying to convey my admiration in Jose managing to get them from being utter wank to creating goal scoring chances within the first 5 minutes of the second half.

I'll try to remember next time that every post of mine in this thread is thoroughly scrutinised by you.

It doesn't have to be thoroughly scrutinised, they have a tendency to stick out like a sore thumb. :(

Im sure FATEone is a Liverpool fan in disguise!

Are you!?

Well if you can be arsed, go back in this thread and you'll see many posts when I have praised Utd. When all of you were pooping your panties the other day, I was saying you really don't have that much to be worried about as Inter ain't as great as people would have you believe. See I know this because as well as supporting QPR, I am a football FAN, I actually watch other teams, consequently I can form a real opinion of my own, not what Andy Grey, or Mark Lawrenson tell me to think.

Team for Sunday? He's said Gibson will almost certainly play and will be sticking with the kids/ players that got the team there. That said, a few injuries to the likes of Anderson, Evans and Rafael would I'd imagine keep them out and let more first choice in. So, in bold the team I think he'll pick:

Foster

Evra/ O'Shea

Rio/ Evans

Vidic

O'Shea/Neville

Nani

Gibson

Fletcher/Scholes

Park/Ronaldo/Wellbeck

Wellbeck/Rooney

Tevez

I get the feeling that Rooney may play though to improve fitness, so possibly Wellbeck on the wing in place of Ronaldo/Park. Also, Scholes has yet to play a LC game this season, has he? That said he didn't play mid week and Fletch did, so maybe Ginge will get a game... though we'd be very light of tacklers if that was the case. O'Shea and Nev at full back, though again all depends on a fitness test.

Strong enough

Anderson played the first half against Man City reserves last night so he might be in contention for Sunday. I know Fergie said he deserved to play if he was fit and he looked fit in the game last night.

I'd like to see Fabio given a game as well if I'm honest, reports are suggesting that Rafa might be out for up to a month so giving Fabio a chance might be in our best interests as we don't really want an injury to O'Shea now.

Thought Gary Nev was injured too? I think Evans might get a game if he can prove his fitness, although he did take pain killing injections to get through the Inter game.

I'd like to see this;

VDS, Neville (if fit), Rio, Vidic, Fabio, Nani, Gibson, Anderson, Welbeck, Rooney, Tevez.

We might even see Tosic feature, as he took part in the reserve game last night. More likely as a sub though.

What about Foster?

Surely he deserves it more than Edwin? Its his competition after all.

Also, i'd stick a Giggs or Scholes in there instead of Rooney to start to give a bit of experience in the middle so Wellbeck can roam where he wants to. Especially as if you aren't going to play Carrick or Fletcher, and Anderson probably won't, so the centre may fall apart.

Echo the Tosic though, would like to see more of him now hes had a few weeks to settle.

I think Ronaldo will probably start also. He seems to be the only player that plays in all cups as well as the league.

I reckon it'll be

Foster

Neville, Vidic, Ferdinand, Fabio

Welbeck, Fletcher, Gibson, Nani

Tevez, Rooney

So pretty similar to what you guys say. Possibly Anderson, Tosic and Possebon as subs. Like some of you say, a couple of the players have been involved in the competition for a while now, it would be a shame to put our first team out and not give them the experience of a final they've worked to get to.

Fergie as more less stated that Welbeck will play, so its up to him to put a performance in. I hope he doesn't start wide right though, he's a striker and he might not do himself justice out on the wing.

Rafael out for a month too, which is a shame :D

I actually thought Wellbeck played realy well on the right last time, in the first half anyway, and then he got injured.

Yeah, its a bitch about Rafael, we are running out of options on the right, hopefully Fabio could play there if needed. Its actucally his natural position, but I guess hes better on the left than his bro.

Should be going to the pub tomorrow with two Tottenham fans. Should be awesome. If we lose then I can always just go... "well if I had to pick one trophy to not win" which would be tremendously dickish. I was chastised for forgetting (temporarily) that we knocked them out of the FA cup before, and replied in a similar vein; "we're in so many competitions, it can be difficult to keep track sometimes".

Harry seems to be putting everything else aside for this one game. It should be tremendous.

I'm deciding whether to go to the pub or not atm, i'm right in the middle of my dissertation atm and the person I usually go to matches with has fucked off home for a week. May have to go for the stream/wank/cry/alone option.

I dunno why, but I was certain that the final was on ITV untill I checked it. They have the other cups. :)

Am looking forward to watching it though, however it goes down..

Go to the pub like me. It's not every year we get to a Carling Cup final.
