Redbloodcell is right too, Ronaldo was lucky the ref didn't see his kick out

Clearly he'll now be handed the same three match ban SWP got. Oh wait, no he won't and he's already got away with the same petulant kick-outs a couple of times earlier in the season.

:) You think the FA are capable of showing some consistency? They can't even get the refs to do it so how they can I don't know.

Decent win based on the perfomance although we had more chances on goal and played better then them for most of the game.

I'm not convinced we'll see Kuszack play again, he was at fault for the first goal and didn't have a great game overall.

I've had it with those utterly biased little shits, that commentate for Setanta. They couldn't wait to throw the book at Ronaldo for allegedly diving, and went on about it the whole game. But then Pedersen does the same thing, doesn't get a yellow, and they don't go on and on about it. Biased wankers, pandering to their South-East audience.

But we had the last laugh by winning, and we're now 8 points clear at the top of the Premiership. Fantastic free-kick from Ronaldo :)

Ronaldo did dive though, so deserved it. But yeah, not sure how if Pederson was judged to have dived by the ref also (he didn't give a pen) then he should have got one too.

I can only think that Ronaldo's booking was for a second offence, perhaps he saw the little kick?

Anyway, it was a fair result at the end of the day, shame Evens couldn't get his 1st goal, and I hope he isn't too badly injured.

Was hard-going in the end but on the whole we deserved to win. But that has to be, what, Ronaldo's third or fourth petulant kicking out this season? Not on at all.

If Evans is injured, who's going to partner Ferdinand on Tuesday? O'Shea? :) I wouldn't fancy that.

Great result that. The ref was having a shocker and where did he get 4 minutes from.

You're right. Ronaldo should have been off, banned for diving for the 2nd game in a row...and the extra time because it was played at Old Trafford? Oh, but then Man U were winning, so it should have been 1 min :)

But United have a perfectly good goal dissallowed? Oh, we'll ignore that as it doesn't fit the stereotype...

I think a penalty could have been given for the touch on Gampst, but I do think he went down pretty easily. If someone taps my shoulders when i'm running, my legs don't automatically give way.

He shouldn't be, as far as I know he was warned about it by the ref. So unless they FA decide to change the rules then he won't get a ban.

Ronaldo's dive was Gerrard levels of embarrassing, but from what I saw of the kicking incident, Dunn had a go at him first. That doesn't excuse Ronaldo's latest act of petulance, but it does suggest that Webb thinks it's all part of the game. Just like denying clear goals and penalties shouts. I'm only surprised he didn't give a penalty for Ronaldo's dive just to collect the full set of awful refereeing decisions from the match.

Eeek

Sir Alex Ferguson was left counting the cost of Manchester United's league win over Blackburn ahead of the Champions League tie against Inter Milan.

Centre-back Jonny Evans limped out of the 2-1 win on Saturday and is unlikely to play against Inter on Tuesday.

The holders are already without injured duo Gary Neville and Wes Brown, and the suspended Nemanja Vidic for the match.

"It is a nightmare - somewhere I have to find two centre-backs," said a concerned United boss Alex Ferguson.

"It is looking very doubtful because Jonny is unlikely to play now," added Ferguson, who is hoping John O'Shea recovers from a sore heel in time to play at the San Siro.

If O'Shea does not recover Ferguson could be forced to field reserve team rookie James Chester or play one of his more experienced players out of position for the tie against Jose Mourinho's in-form Inter.

You lot are off your fucking heads.

You really do exist in a little bubble.

I think he's probably referring to Gerrard's dive a few weeks ago which was almost identical, and as embarassing, as Ronaldo's yesterday.

Defense is going to look a little ropey against Inter if Evans is out. Is Neville fit? He could play center with Rafael or Fletcher on the right.

Pederson went down easily, but he hasn't dived, as there has actually been an infringement! Rafael has pulled him back by the shoulder, that is a Pen. I understand the confusion for you guys, as fouling is an integral part of your defensive technique, but it is against the rules none-the-less.

Anyway Good Luck against Inter, hope you do 'em over and foul the shit out of 'em if you have to, I don't mind it in Europe lol

What!?

What you mean Setanta, the Irish TV company? yeah okay mate! If they were 'pandering' to a South East audience then they'd be biased towards Utd wouldn't they!
