The old Man Utd Thread

Always the optimist :)

Ha! The last time I remember a strike like that was at the start of last season against Spurs.

If you want me to be optimistic then, I think we could conceivably be going for all 4 trophies this season. Make that 5 if you want to count that world club champions thing as well!

Anderson, Evans, Nani and Raphael all got injuries tonight. :)

Whos that now then?

Brown

Hargreaves

Evra

Ferdinand

Rooney

Anderson

Nani

Evans

Raphael

Fabio

And Tevez took a knock the other day. Its going to be an interesting run in at this rate with four competitions and a Prem game to make up still.

Saw Tosic on the bench tonight though, so thats a plus, and Wellbeck and Tevez were pretty great again.

I think the lack of activity between Foster's games though is making him loose his attention to the game easily, he should have had that that late free kick covered. Ah well.

Just got back from OT. First game I've seen for a few years so it was good to see 6 goals, even if 5 of them were at the opposite end! Evans wasn't looking good at all towards the end, after Chester had come one and that was when we started to fall down defensively. Tevez worked his arse off for most of the game, he was a real joy to watch :)

Bloody hell :( we're running out of fit players, it's very frustrating especially when we need them to make sure we don't lose this top spot now. Our defense is falling apart, I don't see that clean sheet record holding out much longer. I hope everyone puts their goal scoring boots back on, stat!

Aside from doing a Villa and putting a charity on the shirt, I'd rather the space went to the highest bidder. What difference does it make which corporate logo is displayed? Plus we'll probably all get cheap calls to Saudi Arabia now!!

I head it was all but guarenteed to be Sahara, a giant Indian company.

At least that logo wouldn't look too bad, fairly plain.

I remember absolutely loathing the AIG when i first saw it..... its grown on me a bit, but still and awful logo-type.

Sharp will always be synonomous with United for me. Do they still even exist?

Thats a good point actually, i'd love them to go the charity route ala Barca, we have big connections with Unicef already. And its not like £20 million over 4-5 years is realy a massive boost in our earnings eh?

Fucking Saudi Telecom. The world is crazy, when Manchester United have got Saudi Telecom on their shirts. Does anyone know what I mean? Its like Real Madrid playing with British Gas on their shirts or something.

Or a British team playing with a Danish lager on their chest.... crazy fucking world we live in!

AIG agreed to pay £14m-a-year for four years for the shirt sponsorship and also has a longer £5m-a-year deal to run MU Finance.

With the finance stuff around that yeah, but I was going more on the prospective deals projected in the media for either Sahara or Saudi Telecom.

Yeah but thats a product already heavily marketed and bought in the UK! I'm not dissing Man U concerning this, i'm fully aware any EPL team would take the best financial offer they could get for shirt sponsor.
