I can't be the only one who's totally frustrated with Berbatov.

I appreciate berba's amazing touch, passing and finishing but I do wish he'd apply himself a bit more. The difference between Berba and Ronaldo is that Ronaldo's workrate is so much higher, both posess great talen but one of them chooses to loaf around the pitch the other works his socks off.

He does come across as incredibly lazy but I guess we knew that when we signed him, it just seems to be his style

There has been a lot of talk about Steve Bruce's work at Wigan this week, going back to the Fergie successor thing, is he a good option?

Better than Keane by a long way at this stage for me.

I'm not ruling out Sparky coming back to the club either, most people were assuming he he was going to be our man before the City move. Who knows, a lot depends on how successful City are in the next few years, and whether or not he survives as manger that long.

I don't think Ronaldo works harder than Berbatov in the slightest.

I'm fairly sure Sir Alex has stated before that there is no issues with Berbatov work rate as the stats they get after each game shows he's jogging/sprinting/running as much as your average striker. It's always going to be less than someone like Rooney or Tevez but they've been criticised for too much running in the wrong areas of the pitch which is something I agree with.

His style is also deceptive, he may look like he's not working but for a player who supposedly doesn't work hard he's bloody good at finding space! If you can do that without effort then he's better than I thought!

At the end of the day, some players run more than others. Fletcher for one, he's usually selected to spoil the flow of the oppositions game with his tremendous work ethic and commitment, the same is said of Park who will run up and down the touchline, for ever! Not sure about your example of Ronaldo if I'm honest.

Berbatov's reason for being on the pitch isn't to harrass players and win the ball back, if he does thats a bonus. His job is to score and create goals, and on that front he isn't doing too badly. Judge him on that.

Berbatov is a very smart player, it can seem like he's adverse to getting involved at times. I think he's actually a very committed professional, who has a different interpretation of what that means to Tevez. The contributions that he does make are usually excellent.

Looks like Manucho is off to Hull on loan. Glad he's staying in the PL so I can see him play.

Looks like Fabio may be in the squad at the weekend, would be great if he got on the field at some point.

Great news on both accounts. We just haven't seen anything of these two yet.

It was mentioned on Football365, but not later on in the pre match conference so I assume he won't be involved. Looks like they have promoted one of the Reserve's central defenders for cover. Evans and Tevez will have fitness tests in the morning, hopefully they will both be fit. I also hope that Vidic murders Davies. In the nicest possible way of course <_<

Decent team, the only one we could put out really. I really hope Tevez makes the most of this opportunity. I don't care how we do it, but we need to win this game.

No left winger :) Park would have been useful here, but SAF always proves me wrong :)

Here's the team to face Bolton:

Van der Sar

Neville, Vidic, Evans, O'Shea,

Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson, Ronaldo,

Tevez, Berbatov.

Subs: Kuszczak, Giggs, Park, Nani, Scholes, Welbeck, Chester.

Who's Chester? Where's Rafael lately?

Chester is the captain of the reserves, he's a CB I think; Rafael I'm guessing is having a well earned rest.
