Are you forgetting that this is Derby ft. Wayne Rooney now?  It's pretty much the most exciting draw we could have had.  They're also managed by Phillip Cocu, an under-rated Mark Heap lookalike.  He even does that thing when talking that Mark Heap does where he widens his eyes and looks shifty and panicked.

I know Slimani isn’t an ideal signing for you guys but he was decent at Leicester, it’s just he was the wrong type of player for our system and couldn’t really play with Vardy. It’s pretty hard for any striker to get any decent game time with Vardy around. Plus he picked up injuries when he was really starting to show some form. Same happened at Newcastle.

 

He’s been really decent for Monaco this season and if he’s played as the central striker in a 3 man attack then he’d be a decent addition. Great header of the ball, holds the ball up well and has a very good touch. You seem at your best when you’re counter attacking and he’d be great at receiving the ball and bringing Martial, James etc. into the attack. 
 

If you do get him, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do really well. He’s a decent professional as well so should fit in immediately without any histrionics and baggage.

Apparently Bruno's agent (his brother) has also been posting on Instagram and had arrived in Manchester at some point today.

It makes me think this whole saga has really been an exercise in creating demand for him to force his value up, before selling him to Barca. Same with Haaland.

 

Woodward is a fucking idiot. Just pay the fee. It's not like we're skint.

 

I'd love him to be sacked though, the useless twat.
