On Sunday, assuming at least one out of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay or maybe one of the fringe guys like Brandon Williams or Mason Greenwood, plays, then it will mark the 4000th consecutive game in which our matchday squad has contained an academy player.  This dates back to 1937!  It's an incredible record, and one the club should feel very proud of.  The fact that we've achieved this despite having Jose Mourinho as our manager for a while only makes it even more remarkable.

Given that the run is for at least one academy player in the squad, not the first XI or subbed on, it doesn't really matter if they play or not. Very difficult to see any time in the near future where the club won't be able to meet that bar, which is of course a great thing.

I properly forgot Pogba is injured. Don’t miss him at all, get rid for 100mil thanks.

He isn't injured. They're just trying to build the team without him, because they're getting rid in January. Good riddance.

Yeah, I don't think he's injured either.

A lot today depends on two things - us matching their intensity, and how we break them down.  A lot depends on McTominay and Lingard, I reckon.  One thing in our favour is Everton's injury and sickness problems which leaves them with only one fit central midfielder.  Maguire and Lindelof will have to deal with a lot of long balls, as well.
