When did we become such a soft team? With no fight? It’s what bothers me most. Give me Keane and Scholes getting red cards all day long over this shower of pathetic lumps of wet bread who feel no shame or want to fight for anything. Bloody sick of them.

I'm not sure some of them do want top four. A mate of mine has a crazy conspiracy theory that several players are waiting to see how the season pans out before signing new contracts, and have worked out that if we don't qualify for the Champions League they can demand more wages to stay, as it would be harder for the club to attract players to replace them. 

 

Every performance I see at the moment makes me wonder if the theory is actually all that crazy.

I don't like saying this but Man Utd will still be well able to attract players even if they finish outside the CL places. They might drop to fourth in that Deloitte money league (the horror) but they'll still be able to offer contracts most clubs can't afford.
