I think the problem with Herrera is that he's 30 (or will be very soon?) and was asking for 200k+ per week, which is probably down to the Sanchez disaster more than anything. While it will be a shame to lose him, it would be even more of a shame to have him tied to a 3 or 4 year contract on that wage and at that age when he's presumably going to start beginning to decline in ability.

Similar to how we've ended up with Valencia, Young and to a lesser extent Mata. All old fuddy duddies who we can't shift because they are on big wages, so they just end up running down their contracts and leaving for free.

Mctominay will be running our midfield soon anyway so who needs Herrera!

Good half that if it wasn’t for the early goal. Bit of a shame that, but it just shows how quickly Barca can pop up and score a goal. Still, I think we’ve been good, but really need to take our chances. Let’s hope we can keep it up for the second half and get an early goal. And Busquets sent off.

McTominay is very tidy, he looks deadly serious all the time. Like the T-1000 out to kill.

Read a comment comparing Fred to Anderson which seems pretty true, he was getting the ball quite a bit centrally and always trying to find runners, but his relaxed style makes it seem he's always content rather than striving for perfection.

Hard to tell if the United second half domination of possession was through players picking up good positions or through Barcelona being awful and sitting off. The quality in the final third from United was so poor, those blindly hit flicked passes were maddening. Needed more composure, and simplicity, a few powerful if straight shots blasted at the keeper to create that uncertainty and increase confidence.

People are criticizing the commentators spin of this being a good performance despite no shots on target. This is a Barcelona side that almost went last season unbeaten in La Liga, that win the league nearly every season with little trouble. Starting to feel like with other teams that dominate their league throughout that by April they're too complacent.

It doesn't matter so much about the lack of accurate shots, more the runs in behind nearly coming off and that vertical play looking dangerous. They look beatable.
