I guess this is officially the end of the honeymoon period. I'd argue the interview for the permanent job really starts here.

I think this and the Arsenal losses do more to highlight how our squad isn't quite there and needs a few quality additions. Rashford I think has played every game for Ole and probably needs a rest more than anything at this point. Martial, Matic and Lingard were all fairly non existant but are all coming back from injury.

If we don't get back to winning ways after the international break then I think we can start wondering if ole might not actually be right for the job but for now I don't think we can worry too much.

that, we have just looked tired really. Not got the depth to have a full rotation. although, when we had fred mctominy and perrira on they seemed to work well together, so maybe a midfield switch for a couple of games might help...or a couple weeks without playing...how many of the squad are on international duty?

Bit of a puzzling one. Wolves were great, and probably have quite a good chance to go on and win the cup, but I don't think our attack every really clicked. Which is odd because it was the same XI that got so many goals during Solskjaer's initial great run. We attacked in a very samey way, with little interchanging of positions or destabilising movement - particularly Martial hugged the touchline too much. I think Wolves won the battle in midfield too, with only really Herrera having the mobility to match them. Maybe McTominay and / or Fred deserved to stay in the team given their recent performances?

Liverpool 100%

Honestly I've brought this up before, but why? It's more likely that we win the league in your lifetime than you ever equal a quadruple. We'll win, celebrate and move on because once next season is over another team could be champs.

City will forever have that over you though and in the next 20-30 years they could equal your league record too. It's the one thing United have over every English club. This incredible achievement that no one else has managed to do or better. You'd rather lose that, all for the sake of us not winning the league one year, even though we could realistically go on and win it next year or equally never win it again for another 30 years.

I get you not wanting us to win he league but you'll never beat a quadruple, you can easily stay ahead of us in trophy/league wins though.

Do you not think City fans won't gloat about beating your treble after years of you telling them they're a nothing club that won't achieve what United have.

 sure, well celebrate a league win and sing about it (what team wouldn't?) And yes we would rub your faces in it, just like you did to us. But we'd still be behind you, so after next season finishes, it's not like bringing it up would mean anything.

You can tear reaction all you want Spork but say hypothetically City win the quadruple and we won the league next year or year after that, then what? Your local rivals now have this better achievement than you for the sake of one or two seasons. (All hypothetical)

It's such short sightedness. I'd rather Everton won the league than you lot win all four trophies. Lord knows the treble gets talked about enough 20 years later, nevermind a quadruple.

Everyone knows City are a fake club though so their achievement would always be down to oil money and breaches of FFP.

Liverpool have done things in the right way so a title win for them would be a fair achievement that we could never throw a "yeah but" at.

Good. He’s got the team playing infinitely better football than Mourinho could ever manage and they all seem to love him. Above all he just gets the United way. He deserves it.

It’ll be good to see who they bring in as Director of Football now and what signings we’ll be making in the summer.

It finally feels like we’re heading in the right direction again.

They look like they all went out clubbing last night. Apart from Jones, he’s been great. Pogba... where the feck IS Pogba?! Completely anonymous. Same for Martial. Whole midfield might as well have not turned up.
