I just love that "we're Man Utd" is the reason Ole gives to so many of the questions he is asked.

"We're Man Utd, it's what we do!" Mic drop.

He has a good point though.

For the past few years it seems like the players have completely forgotten about the history of the club. No fear factor, no respect nothing.

Barcelona constantly recruit their own, why shouldn't Man Utd?

I cant find the quote atm, but Solskjaer said that something.....

Edit: found it

Since the Norwegian coach took charge, United have scored 37 goals, and of that total over half have been scored by players who graduated from the club's academy system

I must say - well done to Ole. He's difficult to dislike, and is doing things the right way.

You guys seem to be going in the right direction, a fantastic turn around.

Good luck to you all.

Arsenal deserved the win, I reckon.  They were all over us in the first half, and the way they defended and broke in the second half meant they always looked more likely to score than us.  They made a lot of interceptions about 30 yards from their goal and broke dangerously.  Some of that was down to our poor passing, and a lot to do with how lethargic we looked, but despite how strange the goals were, you can't begrudge Arsenal the win.

Not too concerned by that result. Started slowly, but overall it was a very even game of which we actually had the better chances. To hit the post twice, have our in form striker spurn a one on one with their keeper, and concede by a freak goalkeeping error and a very soft penalty award is just unfortunate - can't take much more from it than that. Arsenal actually looked more threatening in the FA Cup game, the difference being we were more clinical that day.

I think there is an obviously huge element of 'emotional fatigue' after the PSG game, but this still made for a very worrying performance to my eyes. It took about 40 minutes for there to be a coherent run of passes from one end of the pitch to the other, and this was mostly because the midfield was awful today. Poga played very badly (for him) Matic was unrecognisable from his pre-injury days, and Fred, while perfectly good at chasing the ball, makes utterly baffling decisions when he has possession. Young and Shaw bombing down the wings was pretty much the only solid way of getting Arsenal on the back foot, which left us very vulnerable to the counter, and also really predictable and easy to contain. Basically that midfield doesn't work. I want McTominay back.

So which god do we pray to for Ajax or Porto then?

Everyone thought we were out vs PSG, myself included. I say bring on anyone. Although if I had to avoid one team just now, its City. They are a class above at the minute and I dont want to see them assert their dominance against us in the CL. Perhaps by the time the semis come around they will have had their confidence knocked a touch.

And then just the potential trivialities of a Liverpool semi-final and Man City final to win it!

But we always get the easy draws don't we. Really happy with the draw though, should be a great occasion.
