That's an amazing bit of keeping there. Lovely pass from Lukaku, deserved a goal.

Didn't look like much for Lingard to be injured - doesn't even land that awkwardly. Should he have even been on the bench, I wonder?

This is going to be a tough ask in the second half. Asking Rashford to play the full 90 is obviously less than ideal - he's been the key to much of our success under Solskjaer, should be the first player we're protecting.

Lukaku is pretty decent out wide, and that was a good cross, but to be honest wouldn't it be better to have him in the box on the end of the crosses?

rashfords fucked, and is using less energy by staying in the middle though/

we are basically playing with ten men

What an awful game of football. So few chances, could probably count the clear opportunities on one hand. Liverpool not even really turning the screw by the end. I get that we were still carrying some threat but that was a bit odd. They did seem to be playing rather nervously all game, with not enough patience in the build up, and then being afraid to commit too much in attack near the end. Maybe Kloop has looked at the remaining fixtures and decided a point was enough, but it was weird - we were so obviously weakened I don't know why they didn't just go for it.

Poor game and squad management by Solsjkaer - although he was obviously unlucky that things turned out they did, he took some avoidable risks. Sending Lingard on when he's only just coming back was ill advised when Rashford was obviously struggling - he should've known that having to make three enforced changes was a possibility. He's asked Marcus if he's okay to continue but you can't neccessarily trust his word - he won't have wanted to dissapoint the boss, or miss playing in a big game.

Pros - back four was brilliant, McTominay looked good. Pogba put in a great shift and I don't know what we'd do if he got injured. I think Ole is going to have to try and bring Fred into play over the next couple of games, but given Pereira was brought on instead of him today, I doubt he has the manager's trust.

I imagine between Lingard, the physios and coaches it was decided he was able to play. If there was any doubt I don't think he'd have gone on so early.

Liverpool quite clearly set themselves up for a draw though. It's like they didn't even want to try and score against our weakened and injury struck side. If they went out with the intentions to score goals it's hard to imagine our lot keeping them out. :sherlock:
