anf fellani is leaving at the end of the season...apparently they offered him£140,000 and he said no...fuck knows where he thinks he will get more than that obscene amount

He wants to actually play regularly. Can't blame him for that.

Do you honestly believe Jose is telling his players to play utter wank?! That’s simply not happening.

Our biggest problem this season has been one we’ve accused other teams of in the past, and that’s picking and choosing the games where we decide to ‘show up’. Beat City, lose to West Brom. Beat Arsenal, lose to Brighton. We’ve been a Jekyll and Hyde team this season, but amongst the shonky results we’ve managed to get second (for now), our best position since Sir Alex left.

We’ve lost to the likes of Huddersfield, Newcastle, West Brom, Sevilla and Bristol City because some of our players obviously believe the required effort isn’t needed against those sides. You can see it in the body language, the 3,4,5 touches they have before passing it sideways or the poor decision making. Nobody can tell me that the teams Jose sends out aren’t capable of getting a result against those teams, so to me, it comes down to the players.

Darmian, I agree, is a woeful player. Neither him or Ashley offered anything tonight, but they weren’t the only culprits.

Then isn’t it down to the manager to berate the players from the touch line and to give them a proper grilling at half time, so they pull their socks up?

I agree that it’s mainly down to the players attitudes, and we have a lot of dead wood still at the club, but the manager has to motivate his players. That’s his job! If he isn’t capable, then that’s a big issue as well.

I know we’re second in the league and could potentially win the FA Cup, which will be seen as an improvement, but there are still too many negatives at the club for me. Compare us with City or Liverpool and it’s obvious they’re in a far better position than us. Neither of those teams appear to have managers that are stifling their players. They’re allowed to play to their strengths and, in turn, that makes the players happy, so they then give better performances. The feeling then permeates through the club and everyone is pulling in the same direction.

Jose’s methods are too rigid and he always wants the focus on himself, which undoubtedly gets the players down, leading to lethargic performances like last night. Big things need to change before we’ll get any better.

He's been there two years now and has spent £300m. If there's that many shit, demotivated players still lingering in the squad, who should be blamed? Or likewise, if they turn up and play like 11 confused, randomly arranged strangers, keeping it to 1-0 thanks only to your annoyingly good goalkeeper, where does the responsibility lie? Apparently not with the manager, according to the post-match interviews...

Second place is obviously a good finish, if you stay there, but I find it hard to see how anyone is particularly happy with his reign thus far. Have his predecessors really lowered the standard that far?

Shortly after Hillsborough, Ferguson reached out to offer unconditional support to Liverpool. For that alone he earns unlimited respect.

Rivalry aside, he’s a pure footballing man and despite often making our club’s on the pitch meetings miserable for the Red half of Merseyside, can only wish him a speedy recovery. YNWA.

Reading the news hurt. I hope he can make a full recovery. It’s poignant that his most recent public appearance was to give a parting gift to his biggest rival.

He loves football, he loves a battle and it’s been comforting to see the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and many others lending their support to his most important battle of all.

Would've been better if Noble hadn't got a yellow, they can't go back and review that now. Amazing that he's still on the pitch. Ref's just scared of the reaction from West Ham fans.

Game was the definition of a dead rubber, I was barely watching.
