EXCELLENT first half. Jesus. More of the same, please!

Except Sanchez. He’s still giving the ball away constantly :(

Yeah, Sanchez looks lost again really. Such a shame because if hes anywhere near as influential as he was for Arsenal, the attack would be outstanding!

There’s no doubting his quality, he just needs time. Mourinho’s even said he expects to see the best of him next season. But right now.. I’d stick Ligard on.

I can’t quite believe... how good we’ve been this half. Like, wtf?! We’re actually playing football, looking confident and defending well!

i know, where has this been all season!

Mourinho deserves a lot of credit for that first half performance. It's no coincidence that both goals have come from Lukaku putting himself up against Lovren. We've also overloaded the left wing to put pressure on Alexander-Arnold, who doesn't look up to the job.

Sanchez needs to get off the pitch, lingard wouldd be far more useful at this point!

and its fair to say Bailey being back is REALLY helping! i dont think lindelof is good enough, but, i would like to see him in midfield, as he is good on the ball and can pass!

That is a very satisfying win.

Deserved too. Liverpool had a lot of possession in the second half, and it was tense, but our defence were always in control. The only thing that gave Liverpool hope was a bizarre own goal. They didn't really create anything else.

Our defence and midfield were superb, particularly Ashley Young, who was surely man of the match. Sanchez improved dramatically after Rashford went off, strangely. His play as an outlet ball in the second half was great - clever and committed.

It's such a handy win in the context of the league table, as well. I said a few weeks ago before the Chelsea game that we were in a fight for fourth without realising it, but three hard-fought victories later and we're back as favorites for second.
