Yeah he was absolutely terrific.

 

I think this game showed McTominay's limitations a bit. He's been good in games where he's been asked to be disciplined in defence, and to recycle possession when it came to him. Here though he was seeing a lot more of the ball, and as such really had to do positive things with it, and also deal with the opposition's pressure and physicality at times. He really didn't contribute a whole lot and was the obvious choice to come off for Rashford. I'm still very glad Mourinho has been giving him games, we have very few midfielders and he will be a good option in many games, but today was not his day. Having said that Pogba was not a great deal better.

 

It doesn't feel like our attackers are really playing together, they just seem to have been thrown on the field and that things are expected to happen. Lot of quality out there but definitely less than the sum of its parts.

i agree about McTominay, but, how long did it take darren fletcher to really nail midifeld! hopefully he will carry on and keep getting better!

also kinda glad he chose Scotland, he will get more games than he would for england as lack of options, but likely less, as they are less likely to get into finals, which will keep him a bit fresher...yes, im putting utd ahead of scotland there lol

I'm pretty sure it was the shirt though, it even made Valencia look out of shape, which just cannot be.

He’s unreal, no other keeper comes close in terms of how valuable he is to us week in, week out.

Hes got to be one of the most vaulable signings ever. For all the dud goalies United wasted money on De Gea has become an absolue titan and a contender for Schmiechels crown.

Hmm... defensively better with Scott in there, but doesn’t inspire me going forward. Interesting to see Rashford instead of Lingard. Very happy to see Mata, we need him to link our attacks. Lukaku better be on it today!

I reckon Young will have one of his best defensive games for you lot and keep Salah quiet today. It's whether you can snuff out all three that's the key for you.
