The old Man Utd Thread

Good to see that André Marriner is now on City’s payroll.

Silly of Pogba though. There was no intention or malice there, as his foot was down as he went for the ball, only instinctively flicking it up at the end to land his step. Unluckily for him Bellerin’s leg was in the way.

.....last man makes a foul...not sent off!?!

Thats not the rule, its denying a clear goal scoring oppertunity and you could argue the other player had it covered. Can see why people would look for a red though.

Same reason Arsenal have called for 6 penalties in the last 15 minutes.

Welbeck should've had a penalty. I think you could say Koscielny should've seen red, yes Bellerin is covering but he's probably not catching up with Lukaku but for the foul. Refs are very unlikely to give a "last man" red card that far out in any case though. Overall the ref had a good game I thought, just completely missed that Rojo foul in the box.

De Gea is the greatest keeper on earth, I'm so glad we have him. He could go anywhere, must enjoy the, uh, challenge we give him.

Don’t get all upset and neggy @stigweard, it’s just the way I saw it. I’ll have another look later on MOTD and see if you’re right. If it makes you feel any better, I’d have taken a draw if it meant keeping Pogba for next week’s match. It was an entertaining game though and I’d say luck (De Gea) was on our side today.

The Pogba one is definitely a weird one. Just one of those situations that's tough to get right.

Welbeck should have had a pen. Koscielny too far out for a red.

De Gea worlds best keeper.

Lingaard a player I quite like.

Great game!

So nervous about the derby on Sunday. I would be really excited if we weren't missing Pogba, but we looked so ineffectual when he was absent that I just can't see us posing a major threat. Even if we do grab a goal and go ahead, I just can't see us holding out against this City side. I hope I'm wrong and just sheer derby-passion kicks in for the team and we just grind it out. It's bad that even a draw just isn't good enough at this point :(
