The old Man Utd Thread

It was a lovely second half to watch, wasn't it? The performances of Martial, Mhkitaryan and Schweinstiger were terrific. The third goal in particular was fantastic football, started by a beautiful cushioned pass out of defence by Schweinstiger. If he doesn't leave in this window, he could be quite useful in the latter half of the season. His goal was a lovely moment, too.

Really the only bad point was Jose's sour miserable face and grudging interview. Smile a bit, man! We just won 4-0! He's such a strange bloke.

Today's game feels like a must win. If we do then we're 1 and 2 points behind struggling Liverpool and Arsenal sides respectively. Lose and Everton are rapidly gaining ground on 6th place.

This Season has been a funny one. I do feel like we're overall better than at any time since Fergie, and we're having good runs in the cups, but it would be massively disappointing if we finished lower than the past two seasons in the league.

That was weird. I'm checking the BBC updates in work. I refreshed the page and it was 0-0, filled a glass of water, refreshed the page again and it went straight to 2-0. :D

I shall spend the second half constantly filling glasses of water and refreshing the page. It's the least I can do.

Any word on where Rooney is?

Checking the fixtures, we've Watford next Saturday and then due to FA and EFL Cup games our next league game is 4th March against Bournemouth. The wife got us hospitality tickets for the game for my birthday :)

Apparently that's 20 goals for Zlatan this season, what a signing!

I would love to see all the quotes dug up from the forum numpties who said he couldn't cut it in this league, prior to kicking a ball for Man U.

I'm not a Man U fan, in fact I dislike them, but I've been wanting Ibra to win it from day one. Absolutely unbelievable player, his achievements are ridiculous - no player in the world could do what he has done. His influence and importance in any given team or league is outstanding. He's only overshadowed by those two freaks playing for the Harlem globetrotters in their comfort zone.
