Rock Band!

Assuming you have a USB drive or stick, it'd be simpler to just delete the title update and decline it when you want to play customs, or accept it if you want to switch to Live. You need Title Update 4 on the USB stick anyway, so I'm thinking it should be fairly straightforward, although I'm sure MacMantis or Ryanski can confirm.

Unless I'm having a moment, yes, confirmed.

You git, I was out, mainly due to health issues making it difficult to play, but I gave a few customs a go and got my old XPlorer 2 out of storage and having all sorts of fun again.

Typically, XBox Live's having some issues so I can't redownload my DLC right now. :P

Ah yes I was going to mention customcreators. I downloaded huge amounts from there, although i checked recently and there wasn't much i wanted.

I would kinda like some more "pop" type rock band songs, because whenever i do have a bit of a RB night, there is a bit of a lack songs that woman/non rock type wants.

The official Rock Band Facebook page, and probably other Harmonix outlets, is encouraging people to complete a survey covering how they play Rock Band, what kit they own and what features they would most value in a new version of the game (including "compatibility of existing kit" and "compatibility of existing DLC"!)

They're encouraging people to share the link so here you go - fill it in:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7Z2SHPN

It's actually happening, isn't it? They're planning on bringing it back.

Yesssss. I only bought a 360 because of Rock Band. Don't have any current gen consoles at the moment, but a new Rock Band would seriously twist my arm.

Completed the survey. Will get the drum kit out of the cupboard again soon. Still absolutely love spending a lazy afternoon thrashing away on it.

Out of interest, what did people select on the survey in the question about how you'd want to buy a potential new Rock Band?

Personally I went with the "Band in a Box" option. Right now I don't have any of the instruments due to getting rid when I moved and the odd piece breaking when I did have them. Whilst a quick look around places here in Copenhagen showed it wouldn't be too difficult to get a set together again, I'd much rather pay that bit extra and have brand new kit.

I've got a drum kit, a pro drum kit, three guitars, a keyboard and a microphone. I was also bought a mic stand by my wife for the specific purpose of being able to guitar and sing easily when playing solo.

I'd really rather not get anymore stuff if I'm honest. I'd probably be tempted by another band-in-a-box though because I'm an idiot.

The correct answers to the survey:

Leaderboards prioritised over local multiplayer because I am FOREVER ALONE :'-(

Personally I have little interest in Pro Instrument modes. For guitar and bass: I haven't played RockSmith, but I get the impression that it generally supersedes what RB's two pro guitars were aiming for - certainly as a teaching tool, if not as a score attack game. However, even though there's no way I'd be able to use Pro Drums (my basic RB1 drums have gone unused since I moved into a flat three years ago :() I can appreciate that Pro Drums appeal to a lot of people, and so I didn't rank that option at the very bottom of the list.

Campaign modes:

The solo modes in RB1/2/Beatles weren't perfect, but the structure they provided was preferable to Rock Band 3's approach of "here's 50 songs all at once; now go and make lots of fans!" So a campaign mode would be nice... just not as desirable as the things above it on my list.

Game + One new instrument, just in the hope that many more working guitar controllers will be manufactured!
