Rock Band!

Oh, I finally found those other songs that are coming:

"Weapon of Choice"- Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

“Alive & Amplified” - The Mooney Suzuki

"Gold Lion"- Yeah Yeah Yeahs

"The Heinrich Maneuver"- Interpol

Source? Amazing Interpol inclusion if its accurate.

Harmonix announced the Journey DLC the only way they know how - by rocking the fuck out. Observe:

Just amazing.

is there anyone in the entire world (snivelly american nu metal teens aside) who won't be downloading "Don't Stop Believin'"?

I, er, don't know the song ^_^

I'll be downloading it, though - listening to it now, it sounds suitably Journey-ey to me

Damn, three bands I was excited to be having new tracks, but Weapon of Choice is a terrible choice [actually, anything post-BRMC is a terrible choice], I don't know The Heinrich Maneuver, and Gold Lion's decent, but not their best. Ho-hum. It's like they tried to pick the worst album of each band to source from ;)

"Weapon of Choice"- Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - OH YES!

A song I wanted to like on Guitar Hero but never got far enough to try. Plus I am coming round to interpol and will listen to the other two to see what they are like. The YYY`s are always good for fun to play songs though.

So this with Journey = a damn good week for me again.

This is slightly off topic but I would be intrigued to see how many songs are sold for rockband compared to Guitar Hero on a per month basis. The GH tracks are over 50p more expensive in the UK (I think they are slightly more expensive in the US) so does this relate to lower sales in any given month? I own both but I've never once checked ahead for any GH tunes whereas I always look on a friday / Saturday for the rockband update.

GHWT came out later, when the pound was significantly weaker.

True but in that case I would have expected Rock Bands prices to rise in line with the weakning pound, the fact is that they have not so far. I'm not saying its good or bad, I know its put me off buying music for GH:WT on a few occasions but thats about it. I just find it surprising really more than anything else.

Definitely getting Journey and Interpol. I fucking love both of those tracks.

Now... how about some Frank and Walters, Harmonix? Hmmm? Obscure Irish Indiepop from the early 90's not good enough for you? C'mon, at least give us "Where's Me Jumper" by Sultans of Ping FC!

I feel my inner Steve Perry about to soar! Fantastic news, just Stone in Love to go!

I really want Ten and especially Alive but I'm not shelling out 1440 points. The way they get to these strange amounts that mean you have to shell out more money for somehing you want is genius.

How many of the milions of us LIve subscribers have 20 -30 points sitting on our accounst whilst they have all our money.

The song that's on the Rock Band 2 disc and not the DLC? That one?

For all you PS3 (and probably 360) UK Rock Band 2 buyers beware, your 20 free songs are NOT those initially listed by Harmonix. We are instead getting a different set of titles. The list in full is:

The full list is as follows:

1."Afterlife" - Avenged Sevenfold

2."Call Me" - Blondie

3."El Scorcho" - Weezer

4."Girl U Want" - Devo

5."Girls Who Play Guitars" - Maximo Park

6."Indestructible" - Disturbed

7."It Hurts" - Angels & Airwaves

8."Just What I Needed" - The Cars

9."Message in a Bottle" - The Police

10."Monkey Gone to Heaven" - Pixies

11."Rio" - Duran Duran

12."Saints of Los Angeles" - Motley Crue

13."Simple Man" - Lynyrd Skynyrd

14."Snow (Hey Oh)" - Red Hot Chili Peppers

15."The Perfect Drug" - Nine Inch Nails

16."This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" - Fall Out Boy

17."Time Is Running Out" - Papa Roach

18."Why Do You Love Me" - Garbage

19."You've Got Another Thing Comin'" - Judas Priest

20."Zero" - Smashing Pumpkins

This replaces this list:

"Sons and Daughters" by The 88

"No Regrets" by Authority Zero

"Prequel To The Sequel" by Between the Buried and Me

"Bounce" by The Cab

"Get It On" by The Chevelles

"Give It To Me" by The Cocktail Slippers

"Database Corrupted" by Dealership

"I Wanna Be Your Man" by Endeverafter

"Ashes To Fire" by The Ghost Hounds

"Young" by Hollywood Undead

"The Feeling" by Kutless

"If I Ain't Got You" by The Len Price 3

"I'm Gone, I'm Going" by Lesley Roy

"Burn You Down" by Opiate for the Masses

"Magnetic Baby" by Semi-Precious Weapons

"Like a Fool" by Shaimus

"Crazy Tuesday" by Thenewno2

"The Time Is Wrong" by Tickle Me Pink

"Desperate Times, Desperate Measures" by Underoath

"I.V." by X Japan

So far no word why or if any of these will be available for download to EU owners in the future. There is a thread on the rock band forums and I can confirm that there are songs in my UK version that I never downloaded from the UK store (I did download them from the US store hence why I can tell the difference).

What are the free songs for, why not on the 360 too?

The free songs were the twenty that were advertised as downloadable on the back of the box, I suspect the same songs will be available to 360 owners but since i cant confirm that as yet I've not said as much (I definately know its for PS3 at this point).
