Rock Band!

That's a zinger. Infact I was 14, infact maybe 13 when I first heard it, so maybe that has something to do with it. It's just really good rock/pop. At the drive in are good. Acrobatic Tenement is awesome, Relationship of Command not so much. I prefer The Mars Volta and Sparta, to At the drive in as a whole.

ATD-I are, sorry, were :D amazing.

But would be bastard impossible to play on RB.

I meant for the Beatles game, not RB2. Presumably the Beatles instruments will be specific, making there less chance of them fucking it up, right? What am I talking about, this is EA.

It's MTV.

New DLC looks great. :D

One armed scissor is on GH, but I hate that song due to it's poppyness. I prefer the irregularity of the earlier stuff. Which the Mars Volta has built upon.

Edit: lol infact Mars Volta are on GH aswell.

A question for the people who play Everlong and Run to the hills on expert.

I can get about 60-90 seconds into these songs before my arms start killing me. Would I be better off buying some lighter drumsticks?

I currently use the 5A ones that came with the game.

Fuck's sake, they pick more New Pornographers tracks and they're still the shit ones. Where's Sing Me Spanish Techno, dammit? Edit: actually, I'd forgotten which track Use It was. Not the best song they ever made, but it'll do

Still, James Brown :(

Also, Last Resort is getting bought, to add to my ever-growing soundtrack-to-my-GCSE's on Rock Band.

I'm thinking of getting the 120gb HDD for the 360.

Can I transfer the RB1 songs that I've exported on my curent hdd on to a new HDD if I don't have the disc anymore?

Yep. Have you ever done a HDD transfer before, with the transfer cable and disc? It copies everything over from the 20Gb drive perfectly. Everything intact. One-time only operation. Completely formats the 20GB drive when finished.

I haven't done a transfer before but I thought you had to download any Live content again and it only copies save files. Great that this will work though.

Great to finally get some Funk on this game

Get The Funk Out Pack 01 (440 MSP/$5.49), or purchase individually:

“Pick Up the Pieces” by Average White Band - 160 MSP/$1.99

“Shining Star” by Earth Wind & Fire - 160 MSP/$1.99

“Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine - Pt 1” by James Brown - 160 MSP/$1.99

Hmm...I was quite looking forward to playing "Get Up..." but the idea was better than the reality. Conversely, I wasn't really familiar with "Shining Star" but I failed within seconds on the first Expert attempt; I blame SF4 and Persona 4 distracting me lately. :P After completing it I thought it was pretty satisfying to play, especially the twiddly solo bits.

Hahahahahaha! Fucking Last Resort! Christ, there's something that should have been left buried. (I'll still end up buying it :) )

Heeeyyy, what's wrong with it? It's actually the first song to appear that I've previously mentioned I'd like to see released on RB/GH, I think. Although I've not heard this version before, I'd have probably preferred the album recording.

I just need some

and Feeder* now, then I'll be happy.

*Ignoring the utterly obvious Just a Day.

Bit of news for next week...

Journey's jukebox classic and dive bar anthem "Don't Stop Believin'" is joining the catalog of downloadable Rock Band tunes, developer Harmonix revealed tonight.

The oft-requested song is due for inclusion in next week's batch of DLC, which hits Xbox 360 on Tuesday, March 31 and PlayStation 3 the following Thursday, April 2. The track will presumably carry the traditional Rock Band DLC pricing of 160 Microsoft Points ($2).

For those unfamiliar, the ballad is an inspirational tale of a small town girl living in a lonely world, a city boy born and raised in South Detroit, a singer in a smokey room, smells of wine and cheap perfume, gambling addiction, and the power of belief.
