Rock Band!

I've no option under the songs in quick play, is it because i havent compelted the game yet? only got it earlier but wanted to try some of the tunes from the store.

Wait, that option is in the career mode list; the DLC should actually just be in the quickplay list with a symbol next to it? Have you scrolled through everything? Unless you've accidentally downloaded DLC from the wrong region, I'm stumped.

Assuming the fact that it charged me pounds i can only assume its from the right region, really got my head fried trying to work this out. I'm gonna give up trying for tonight but if anyone else has had the same problem let me know although a search on the net seems to yield no similar problems.

Gutted :)

It's amazing how they just keep on finding ways to extract more money out of me.

In other news, I tried fixing my broken RB1 drums last night but with no success. I reckon my best option (until I can afford an Ion kit) would be to find a working pad from another kit and just swap out the broken red one.

Don't suppose any of you have a faulty RB1 kit that you're not planning to get exchanged? If so, I would gladly buy it off you for spare parts, or at least buy a functioning pad if it'd be handier to post.

My drums are really close to breaking, well the red and yellow pads at least. I've been patching them up with glue, tape and chopped up cards. Hoping they last until I can get new drums (RB2 ones or ions if I get more money)

Rock Band 1, i assume all the content is universal as i never noticed any of the tunes saying rock band 2 and i i did look out for them, tried re downloading the songs but that didnt help, went through the store and the game, game wouldnt let me redownload them that way tho. :)

Emailed tech support and they are unliklely to email back unless its a problem from the ea store aparently :(

Ok. In RB1, when playing the solo tour, all DLC tracks will be at the very bottom of the list. You should see "Tokyo - Gorilla Dome" as the heading, with "[Play Downloaded Songs]" beneath it. In Quick Play, the DLC should be mixed in with the rest of the tracks, sorted by difficulty. The DLC will be noticeable by the small arrow icon next to it.

Do you have any evidence to prove this or are you just being a miserable git?

I need new drums but I'm not going to buy another set of RB1 drums - so I'm hanging on.

Unless things have changed very recently EA have no plans to release the RockBand 2 instruments over here at the moment.

I don't think so, they should be there regardless. I know you've already said you bought the tracks from the UK store, but is it definitely a UK copy of the game? It's the only reason I can think of for them not to show up.

Your right, gamestation have put a US disc in the EU box, i had checked the rating on the box earlier and its not til just now i have taken in out the machine i have found out its a US disc!

Wonder what will happen there as it was the only copy pre owned.

Looking at the still high stock levels of Rock Band 1 and GHWT band in a box kits I'd have to say I don't see how it would make sense for them to do it. Shops are not going to want to stock another pile of peripherals so they'd only really be available through online retailers. As soon as they do become available then no one is going to buy the Rock Band 1 peripherals either so they'd have a big huge mountain of useless plastic.

I can't work out what EA are doing with RB2. It's only out on one platform and the hardware hasn't arrived on that one platform. My instincts tell me the hardware with arrive with the multi format release.

However, I have a nagging doubt in my mind due to the Beatles game. We'll get that in autumn this year and I cannot believe they'll give up the chance to do new hardware for that - Lennon's guitar, McCartney's bass, Ringo's drums etc and I just cannot see EA/Harmonix releasing two sets of instruments this year, so maybe we'll never see the RB2 kit in the UK.

Well, there's probably some 'sales of goods act' section that deems your product not working as it should, so you could probably get a refund and/or replacement.

You will get an exchange no problem.. their staff probably didn't check the disks properly when it got traded in. If you push them they should give you a new one.

Its MTV / Harmonix who would be making the decisions, EA are just the software publisher. The one platform thing is an Xbox exclusivity period, I think you are right though, its likely that they will hold the RB2 kit back until the next game, or possibly just until RB1 kit has started to sell out as someone else eluded to.

I got my copy swapped thankfully. Just wondering tho, i really want to get drums and notice the rock band ones are 60 in argos but can i use them for guitar hero world tour as well? Dont want to buy the whole band for world tour but i know the drums are better and aren't available on their own yet.
