Just saw on the club nintendo site - if you view you previosly purchased games you can now add:

50 stars per VC or Wii Ware title purchased

And they are backdated from the looks of it!

The points/prices avaliable online are:

Nintendo Points Card 100

This Nintendo Points Card costs 400 Stars.

Nintendo Points Card 300

This Nintendo Points Card costs 1200 Stars.

Nintendo Points Card 500

This Nintendo Points Card costs 2000 Stars.

Incedently, this also goes for DSi titles. Got myself quite a nice set of stars for WW:Snapped, Artstyle Code and a few others.

Excellent. Although for some reason not all of the games I've downloaded give me points (the art style games nor bit.trip beat offer me the chance for any). I thought it might just be VC titles, but Tetris Party lets me get some, so I don't know

Seems to be pretty random.

I have 1050 points to be claimed, with another 7 (which are a mix of VC and WiiWare) which can't be claimed.

Where do you go to see your previously purchased games? I can't find it anywhere.

Nice one shynra, I managed to get 1750 points, added to the 250 I already had, and then trade them in for a 500 point card.

Strange that not all the games count though, perhaps the others will come up later.

I think it takes a while to show up.

Ah good.

Also, I just realised I haven't redeemed any of the points cards that came with my Wii and most of my games. Just did it and got 4000 stars.

This is probably a really dumb question but is there anyway to convert a Gamcube save for Ocarina and Majora's mask to the Wii? I have the Gamecube disc version for both and would like to buy the Virtual Console versions mainly so they are installed on my system and can load them whenever (yeah I know not the best argument). At the same time I'd really like to not have to start majora all over again as I'm up to the water temple (which is the furthest I have ever been...).

Any help most appreciated.

There was a lack of racing games in general on 8 and 16 bit consoles, so they can't really magic them out of nowhere.

A quick refresher on Google reveals plenty to bolster the genre with. Micro Machines, Combat Cars, Street Racer, Monaco GP, Hang-On, OutRun, Virtua Racing, Exhaust Heat, F1 Pole Position, Rock n Roll Racing, Lotus Turbo Challenge, Power Drive.

Can anyone recommend a good SD Card?

I'd like to transfer all my Virtual Console games to some SD Cards so that I can build a mini library of games, hopefully freeing up all the space on my Wii whilst simultaneously making sure that I have backups of all the games I have bought (I am aware I can download them for free once I have paid).

Am I right in thinking I cannot choose a card over 2GB?

Which names are reliable and which names are unreliable?

Gameplay has the official Wii 2GB card for £8.

A gig card should be more than adequate mate. I have 100 games including all the n64 titles bar one, and several PC Engine CD titles and I've still loads of space left.

You can use cards over 2gb with the latest update, I'm using a 16gb one. Takes about 5-10 seconds to transfer an N64 game over. I have over 12000 blocks free which is probably a bit excessive but it's worth bearing in mind wiiware games are generally quite big, usually a few hundred.

AFAIK the official SD card is just a regular one with a Wii sticker on it. i've used a 2GB Sandisk since the Wii came out, & while data transfer was initially slow, the recent firmware updates have fixed this & now even N64 & Wiiware games only take seconds to both copy to & boot from the card.

I can only assume the new support for SDHC cards above 2GB makes this even better & as I haven't come close to filling my original card & 4GB & above will be all the capacity you'll need.
