Won on most of the games over the weekend, as I mainly kept away from outright bets and stuck to goals scored. Also had a nice couple of wins on the Liga 2 last round as well. Gone for Chile to win today and under 2.5 goals in the Portugal vs NK game.

I wouldn't worry. Betfair are unlikely to hold it back once you send them an email.

Further to this, after a lengthy exchange via email, I've just got my money back plus an apology and a '£5 good will gesture' from them.

Spain = wounded animal, playing Torres and Villa with Silva behind. I fancy goals. Will maybe back over 3.5 goals if the price is OK.

£2 on Mark Gonzalez as next scorer pays off. Another £40. I've stuck £3 on Pique as the last scorer at 20-1, which seems a slight long shot, but I'm in the zone. THE ZONE.

Spain to win 3-0 at 4-1 as well. Go for that.

If you really want to gamble, put some money are Amado Guevara to score for Honduras. He's a real deadball specialist.

Spain are 1.14, whereas over 2.5 goals is 1.6, so I think the value in going on that instead. Spain will want at least 2 goals as the group is going to come down to goal difference, I can't see Honduras scoring, so rather than over 3.5 I think any unquoted is the bet there for an additional .4.

I got a 'sorry, but this was in our t&c' or some such bullshit. I didn't get much of an answer as to why the offer was shown as available to me (logged in as a current customer), and presented me with bets for England v Algeria when I clicked it.

What bomb did you drop on them for them to give it back?

I just argued, which I training to do for a living so... you know. Just keep arguing it and I'm sure they'll give up eventually.

I used £10 of the money to back Villa FGS at 3/1 which will cover:

Villa MOTM - £22 at 9/2

Xavi MOTM - £5 at 6/1

Alonso MOTM - £3 at 11/1

I'll be breaking even, at worst.

Where have you seen that? The website hasn't updated yet. If he does get it then I'm up by £121 today.

edit: Ignore me, it's updated now. That's me well up again today. I'm going to be sorry to see this World Cup go.

Anyone splashing the cash tonight?

There are some nice odds floating around the S. Korea v Nigeria match - I guess because it could go either way.

Have just stuck £3 on Yakubu to score anytime.

I fancy Nigeria to bully a victory from S. Korea.
