AlwaysBeClosing
Annnd now I'm slightly up! Total available: £39.45 My £10 bet at 4.1 on Japan to win (which would've been refunded if I lost..) has yielded me a nice win after so many losses. OneDvBmbr
Very disappointed in Cameroon. Expected to turn that around in the 2nd half and backed them to do so at 7/1. Oh well, I'm still within my budget for the tournament, so plenty of time to turn things around yet!
AlwaysBeClosing
Should I whack my £39.45 on Italy at 2.26?

dogsout
Should I whack my £39.45 on Italy at 2.26? It's tough to call but, given that Cardozo is on the bench, I'm leaning towards doubling Italy up with Brazil.
Sirloin
I am following a pattern of winning one bet, losing one bet, so I'm only about a tenner up from about 300 quids worth of bets. But at least I'm not 300 down Not sure what to do tonight, can't see either of them scoring to be honest. Might lay one of them and go on under 3.5 goals. Sirloin
Urgh odds on unders are horrible. But do I trust Italy enough to be able to score to back them?
AlwaysBeClosing
Still not sure if I should risk it, hmm. How good are Paraguay?!
Sirloin
They're OK, I saw their friendly against Ireland and they looked good for periods in the second half. But no Cardozo and no Santa Cruz tonight, so I've gone on Italy, even though they have Iaquinta up front who is shite. *cue hatrick for Iaquinta*
El Pibe
Hmmmm...Paraguay are decent. I reckon it'll be a draw but I have spent all my money so no betting for me today!!
Sirloin
Also on Cheillini to get booked 'cos he's a dirty git.
Duke
Struggling to put something on here, thinking 1-1 again. Have a feeling Italy will score first and then sit back.
Dr Slotter
There really is nothing that interesting in this one. As Sirloin says the odds for under 2.5 etc., my usual standbys, are rubbish. Both sides appear to be potentially impotent in front of goal so who knows! Chickened out of the Japan-Cameron game earlier as I didn't have a positive thought about anything and was going to pop out so wouldn't be able to manage my position that well. Hmmm.... Dr Slotter
Decided to go all old fashioned and got £5 on Italy to win.
AlwaysBeClosing
£39.45 on Italy at 2.3. £90 back if it comes off so can't complain!
Sirloin
Tempted to go on overs looking at this, Italy could batter them if they score early.

Sirloin
Come on one more! Knew I should have doubled down on them.
Dr Slotter
This is why a few pounds wagered makes things more interesting! Italy much better this half, even allowing for that terrible goalkeeping.
DjSatansfur3h
Unders / Overs?
Dr Slotter
Unders / Overs? Under or Over the total goals in the game. Well, that'll teach me for having a punt for punts sake
Sirloin
Unders/overs is normally under and over 2.5 goals for a game, as that's the mostly commonly quoted total goals market.
El Pibe
Hmmmm...Paraguay are decent. I reckon it'll be a draw but I have spent all my money so no betting for me today!! Great! First one I don't bet on and I get it right!
DjSatansfur3h
Unders/overs is normally under and over 2.5 goals for a game, as that's the mostly commonly quoted total goals market. Further daft question then. How can you have 2.5 goals?
Sirloin
Further daft question then. How can you have 2.5 goals? Well its basically saying 3 goals. So unders is 2 or less, overs 3 or more.
Duke
That's always the way! First winner here at last.
dogsout
Backed 2-1 to Italy and a red card, both at half-time. Still up by £87 on the day so I can't complain. Anyone got any bright ideas for tomorrow? I like the look of Brazil -2 at evens but North Korea are pretty organised and Brazil could quite easily start as slowly as some of the other big names have. I'll sleep on it, I think.
Duke
Going to wait for the line ups and see who is playing up front for brazil. Should be Fabiano, looking to put him on for a hat-trick. Same worry here about all the slow starts but hopefully Brazil can show everyone how it is done.
Sirloin
Gone for Slovakia, a goal in the Portugal vs IC game and over 3.5 goals in the Brazil game. So lay all of those probably if tonight is anything to go by.
Art Vandelay
I'm on the verge of giving up. My optimism that we'll see some goals has really let me down so far and even excessive betting hasn't livened up my interest in the dirges we've witnessed.
