Had £10 at 2/1 that Kane and MBappe would have one shot on target each - Lost

Had a £1 build a bet on England to score 1+ goals and France to win outright at 5/1 - Won.

Just as the game started I saw Maguire headed shot on target and to be carded at 22/1.  Put a cheeky £10 on it and thought I’d lost, but OPTA stats had Maguire down as a shot on target (the own goal - although it came off his shoulder!) so I won £230!

Well, I had my most successful tournament ever. Having never before made a profit :)

Started with £30. Got a Betfair bonus offer of putting £10 on a player for the golden boot - then each assist or goal they get you get a free bonus bet. I put it on Messi... 8-)

I claimed the first week's bonus of a free £2 bet each day and away we went...

Rubbish - by the end of the first week I was down to just £8 in my pot :( and was getting the feeling I was gonna dump out early (my rule is whatever I put in is all I have - no topping up, I also only ever bet on tournaments). Then finally I got a decent win £14 on Senegal Qatar, a day later and another decent win on Poland SA took me back up to £27 in my account. I then had a run of 10 losses in a row :( And was down to £6 again when I won £8 on Ecuador Senegal. I was confident, but alas more losses until I was down to my last £1.48! :(

I decided to go Hail Mary and put it on Japan to beat Spain and Costa Rica to beat Germany... When Costa Rica went ahead I could have cashed out for £60, but I hesitated a little too long and Germany equalised! So I quickly cashed that one out for £19 phew! Another raft of losses took me back down to £6 before I won another £8  on France Poland and £6 on Japan Croatia.  Then I won £10 on Brazil South Korea which took me back up to £27 in the bank. (plus of course I was now green on the Messi for golden boot bet, although not ready to cash that one in).

From then on I never dropped below £20, winning on Netherlands Argentina and France Morocco. I had a free bet which was going to expire before the finals, so chucked it on a Rangers game that was on Thursday... and won £10! :D

After the Argentina semi I cashed out the initial £10 stake on Messi for golden boot. I withdrew £46 back to my bank, leaving me with £30 to play with on the last two games.

Won nothing on the 3rd place playoff, and put £20 worth of bets on the final.

At half time during the final I thought fuck it and cashed out the rest of the golden boot money for another £35.

I lost all my bets... apart from the one I put on Both teams to score and the result decided on penalties! Another £38 on the final day! :)

In total I withdrew £119 back to my bank making a final profit of £89 :)

Good work! I started with £35 in the account and finished with £41.67, so I'll take it, especially because I was pretty screwed after the groups and managed to claw it back 😆

More pleasingly I got Argentina in a sweep with some friends and won £80 for my tenner buy in. Donated half of that to the Trussel Trust and spent the rest on a massive takeaway last night.

I mistakenly put £30 on my account for the final, when I meant to put £10 on the first bet. Then everything I bet on throughout the game came up.(Then only one I lost was a £1 free bet)

Ended up £170 up from the game and about £100 overall. Cashed out and wait until the next Euros.

I deposited £10 before Xmas and got it up to £53 with some accumulators £1 here and there every weekend and buying cash with a Celtic and Burnley double the other week to double my massive £25.

I've gone all in on a treble of Roma, Juventus and Man City with a return of £175. The dodgy one is probably Roma away at Cremonese, Cremonese haven't won in Serie A all season. That has just started.

Painful. Never go all in though! Save yourself something (at least 10% of your bank) to build back up in future.

Unless you don't mind putting more in obvs.

Yes. Annoying to say the least. I've only put in £10 since just before Xmas. I bet for fun on accumulators when I'm watching Soccer Saturday if my team are away so don't bet all the time.

I didn't realise it was a full-ish National League fixture list tonight or I'd have gone for Wrexham and Bromley instead.

Ah well. I'll start again.

During that COVID season, I made close to £800 from a £10 starting point and banked it at the end of that season. I'll never get rich doing this.

Been quiet the last few weeks, probably £30 down over that time, not even close to any returns either.

Down to £65 in the kitty for the rest of the season, but we live in hope :)

I haven't won this one yet.

I'm looking at Man City away at Palace. Wrexham at home to Southend and Wednesday away at Portsmouth at 2.85/1 with £50 on that if this one comes in.

Celtic 0 Hearts 1 at the moment.  Celtic are all over them too.

Won £20 on Kane to have shot on target and Skipp to be carded last night.

Got me thinking that, for the rest of this season I'm gonna just go for 1/1, 2/1 and 3/1 odds to see how well I do and then spread my bets over more than just Spurs games,  I'm looking at smaller wins but more of them hopefully.
