as an engineer, i always despare at this program.

As another badly dressed engineer steps up to the plate and says, "this will save mankind from death/aids/hunger/power/hairloss"... smiles .... and then says "well i think it will but i need a gazillion pounds to develope it and sell it to third world countries for absolutly no profit what-so-ever ....... who's in"

i sit, and wounder where all the spunk went from British Engineering. We use dto rule the world. Now we get sharp suited "leisure industry assest stripper" looking smug and tearing us a new ass.

Still i'll be glued to it tonight :P

I remember an engineer done quite well once selling tv wallmounts or something - it was a bit shit though as, as per usual, they pulled down his trousers and pumped him in the ass taking 51% of his company away which he'd built up on his own at home.

I think it's great & I'll hopefully tune in. Peter Jones is good - he gets personally offended at anything/nothing.

I thought the bloke got a pretty good deal out of it – he made it clear that he only wanted to work as an engineer, making his av stands, and didn't want to bother with having to run his business.

Hmm... maybe... I felt a bit shan for him though, he did everything shy of sucking their cock to get it down 1% just for pride sake and they were having none of it.

Missed the first 20 minutes ...bugger.

Good on that man.

Good to see the producers of Dragon's Den have been on the forum and noted the formulaic nature of the last series and shook it up a bit this time round, though they'll probably be back to usual next week.

Still massively enjoyable though, more so than the lacklustre kickabout over on BBC1.

"So nice I named it twice." Go Keith/Levi!

I don't get these business owners who come in prepared to give 8% equity for 160k. Who do they think they are!? Hilarious.

Plus, the experience of having two successful dragons as business partners surely outweighs any cash benefits, right? Contacts are everything.

I'm going to try and apply for the next series, I think. Expecting to get torn a new one by Mr Jones.

You could watch the last season online. Try the BBC site.

Theo Paphitis? Was that at the start? What was that company, I know they all seemed to want it but I didn't know what they did.

It was about halfway through, the woman who did that stress-relief drop-in shop thingy. Theo got angry at the other Dragons because he thought they were being unreasonably dismissive after some confusing figures and terms bandied about by the woman who didn't seem to know the difference between turnover and profit. Peter Jones was being pretty harsh to her throughout her presentation then at the end again when Theo defended her he flew off the handle and some amusing and biting comments were exchanged. Could well have been set up for entertainment purposes though.

The Reggae Reggae Sauce segment was a beautiful thing.

Yep, he was the first person I have even seen go in there and defuse the dragons, they all relaxed, perhaps a bit of what he was smoking whafted upstair before he came in.

I love buying different sauces and if I saw Reggae Reggae Sauce in Tescos I would buy a bottle, good luck to him.
