Ghostbusters (2016)

Don't forget that one of them is an overweight woman! She's the worst.

It's a good job John Belushi died and John Candy pulled out before the original started filming. Two overweight people in the same film !

How is it solely a gender swap? It has an entirely new script and a new cast and director.

It'a time GB fans let go of the idea of an Aykroyd sequel. It didn't happen. For frustrating but perfectly comprehensible reasons.

Read the leaked Treatment a Few pages back. It sounds fucking awful in every way.

TheWrap is reporting that Andy Garcia (Ocean’s Eleven, The Godfather Part III) and Michael K. Williams (“Boardwalk Empire,” Inherent Vice) have been added to the Ghostbusters cast. The Sony Pictures release is currently lensing in Boston.

Garcia will play the Mayor of New York City, originally portrayed by David Margulies in 1984’s Ghostbusters and 1989’s Ghostbusters II. Williams will be playing a character named “Hawkins,” having just finished co-starring with the reboot’s lead Kristen Wiig in IFC’s comedic miniseries “The Spoils Before Dying,” which premieres this Wednesday.

In addition, it is also being reported that “Veep” co-star and Upright Citizens Brigade co-founder Matt Walsh will be playing a character named “Rourke,” while New York City’s NY1 news anchor Pat Kiernan will be playing — you guessed it — a news anchor.

In addition to this news, director Paul Feig has taken to Twitter to lend a helping hand to some cosplayers who wish to build reboot-style proton packs, supplying them with new close-ups and design specs for the iconic ghost entrapment equipment.

Starring Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth,Ghostbusters is targeting a July 22, 2016 release.

Yeah, the original cast and crew of men wouldn't make an underwhelming, shit Ghostbusters sequel that seemed to be cobbled together trying to rehash the magic of the original while just hitting the same beats as before...

Never mind! I'm looking forward to the new one. I have high hopes for it.
